We are more than a week beyond the election of our next President. With mail in ballots and the pandemic and the rest nobody was ready to call it until Saturday November 7th with Pennsylvania putting Joe Biden over the top. Since Saturday his lead in PA and a couple additional States has grown and in any other period of our history that would be that. But our sitting, standing, golfing President is having a hissy fit and accordingly has got the majority of his Republican Party busy denying reality and preventing the President-Elect from accessing the normal supports that go with being declared next. Not exactly fair play, but then Donald Trump has never been known as a believer in the Marquess of Queensbury rules or any other system of rules except his own.

So Rudy Giuliani and a bevy of lawyers have filed all kinds of court actions to stop the count, slow the count, invalidate the count or just thrown dirt in the face of judges to get in the way of states formally certifying the results. They have been largely unsuccessful until today when PA Commonwealth Court President Judge Mary Hannah Leavitt ruled that the PA Secretary of State lacked statutory authority to issue a November 1, 2020 guidance that changed the deadline for proof of identification. There were 5 additional suits filed by the Trump campaign on Tuesday to attempt to invalidate a total of 8,329 ballots that were approved separately by a majority or all three Philadelphia City Commissioners. At the time of this writing Joe Biden is approximately 53, 500 votes ahead of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile our President; Donald Trump has been largely absent, but has authorized the establishment of a Political Action Committee to raise and spend funds on behalf of his legal actions against election results and to provide further funds to support campaign financing and the delivery of campaign contribution. In keeping with the continuing actions of Attorney General William Barr to defend the President, he issued a two-page memorandum to pursue allegations of voting irregularities in contrast to decades of Justice Department policy that prohibited intervention that could influence election results.

The latest and possibly greatest challenge to our Democracy is a Million MAGA March scheduled to occur this Saturday in Washington DC demonstrating against the results of our Presidential Election and featuring a cross-section of Trump fanatics such as the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Three Percenters as well as a variety of other alt right, white supremacists and neo-Nazis. Apparently Right Wing Radio is drumming up a massive Pro-Trump Anti-Biden Rally. A sign promoting the event says:

"PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP STOOD UP FOR US NOW IT'S OUR TURN TO STAND FOR HIM PROTEST THE FRAUDULENT ELECTION"

Not exactly functioning as Americas traditional transfer of power.

So where does that leave the rest us. Democrats, Independents and Republicans, roughly 76 million who voted to end the reign of our Liar in Chief and bring back a government by the people, for the people with a leader who will take responsibility for his actions. We have to stand up too! We have to make damn sure that whatever shenanigans Trump and his Party of sycophants pull that our Constitution and the Electoral College majority are certified and on January 20th the 45th President of the United States leaves the White House and is replaced by President-Elect; Joe Biden.
