The " feel good " of the Barack Obama candidacy coupled with the pc approved lack of substantive coverage of his biography, his private and public career: contrasted with the media savaging of nearly every facet of Hillary Clinton's life, career, dress, mannerisms, are certainly questionable.
Even more questionable is the unchallenged adoration of Obama's practiced, heavily cadenced oratory which is being proclaimed as the greatest thing since burning bushes spoke to Moses! Compare that to the derision cast ad nauseum regarding Hillary's laugh, accent, " affectations ". BTW, I'd personally vote for Nora O'Donnell as possessing the most repulsive laugh in the female category with Chris Matthews 'winning hands' down in the male division.
Obama, thus far, is all about style with an alarming absence of substance. He seems the epitome of the hideous ad slogan as proclaimed by tennis great, Andre Agassi, " Image is everything !" His rarified charm indeed brings to mind words written by Albert Camus, " "You know what charm is, it's a way of getting the answer yes without having asked any clear question." Can anybody deny Camus is describing the media nurtured Obama persona?
It is also passing strange the brain dead media and pundits have dared not really 'notice' the 800 pound gorillas in the room, racism and sexism.
The fact that the latest votes reflect record-shattering black participation and that 90% of them are voting for Obama is truly astounding. Imagine the headlines in the media if 90% of the white vote were being cast for Clinton?? A nearly equally astounding finding receiving strangely muted notice is that well over half the ' good old boys' in the deep south are voting for Obama. Having lived with good old boys for 64 years, I smell more than a few rats at play inside that news. Hillary hatred combined with cross over voting shenanigans are probably at play to say the least.
Those of you still reading are, perhaps, concluding Hillary is " my dog in this fight "; no disrespect intended in my choice of metaphor. Wrong! Having personally known the Clintons for years and having voted for Bill at every opportunity in Arkansas as well as in 1992 and 1996, I can promise you I now find both of them so reprehensible, I'd never consider voting for either of them again... unless I'm forced to choose Hillary over even the more reptilian John McCain. Hopefully, I can continue to vote for Barack Obama despite my reservations.. "on the wings of my prayer" that he is as impressive, inspiring and catalytic as we together desperately require him to be .
