One of Donald Trump's widely known campaign messages -- for years -- has been that crime in the United States is out of control, and that he can do something to fix it. Just over one month since the president-elect defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, 'Crime, especially homicide, is down dramatically from the spike that occurred during the worst of the pandemic in 2020,' journalist and author Paul Waldman notes in a Monday op-ed published by MSNBC.
