Maya Eco Center for the Maya and Lenca People of Honduras
The Maya Eco Center
is located in La Esperanza Intibuca, in the western area of Honduras. The
project is on a beautiful piece of land surrounded by mountains. It has
electricity and it's own water source. When completed, the nearby Pan American Highway will increase
marketing opportunities. Most structures will be of Maya design and the
education building is round to allow the flow of spiritual energies.
Our vision: to be an example of sustainable economics and social responsibility. Our goal is to transform poverty to self-reliance through the development of employment and educational programs for local families. This project will be owned by the community and we want it to be an example of sustainable economical and environmental practices.

People of good heart can support and learn about investing opportunities with this project. We seek people who are not seeking to own the project but who seek mutual benefit through collaboration.
The Maya Eco Center will become sustainable and will include the following structures- A restaurant offering local, international and nutritional menus. An Education Center will be used for spiritual gatherings and will offer education programs for children and families in the area. To offer accommodation for tourists, we are building a Communal structure that will provide space for groups, volunteers or interns. We will start building 10 cabins and the whole center will be sustainable using composting toilets, solar, wind, and rain capturing systems and organic gardens to insure no damage to the earth, land, water and air.
The local community will have opportunities for employment through the developing Cooperatives that will make sustainable soaps and operate catering services. This will provide economic support for them and a percentage from all services and tourism will also support the Maya Eco Center.

Tickets available at PEACECRAFT , 3215 Central Avenue (Knob Hill), Albuquerque. In addition to learning more about Honduras and the project, the event will be an opportunity to meet and network with sustainable businesses and other groups of New Mexico. It will also be possible to meet our major sponsors and see the exciting Zeen electric car. There will be food and music for the enjoyment of all.
