Lie-slit, torture-slashed, power-shredded.

It waits for law to wipe it clean,

To hold it for the nation with pride,
To call the small people, the shower-AFTER-work people, the choose-heat-or-food people and offer help.

It bleeds with lost honor.

It bleeds with lowered expectations.

It bleeds with the need to trade persecution of the poor
For prosecution of the powerful.

Yes he can is not enough. Yes he must is the need.
