Dear friends,

I write to you because many of you I know are voting activists and many are
on the various list serves on this issue. I met Steve Freeman
(_www.appliedresearch.us/sf/_ (http://www.appliedresearch.us/sf/ ) this
weekend, who most
of you I'm sure know, he co-authored _Was the 2004 Presidential Election
Stolen? Exit Polls, Election Fraud, and the Official Count_
(http://www.electionintegrity.org/book .

I mentioned Thom Hartmann's idea about how exit polls successfully prevented
the incumbent from stealing the election in the Ukraine (see Thom's article
at _http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1129-26.htm_
(http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1129-26.htm )
and it turns our Steve's already developed the exit poll. What he needs is
people and someone to help him organize this. The thought is to do a small
targeted project for 2006 and develop it for the 2008 fiasco.

If you're not familiar with this article by Hartmann and the article
Hartmann refers to within his article, it's a must read strategy for dealing
with
the stolen elections here.

The below are excerpts from an article I wrote last March, (
_http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/16/2006/1865_
(http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/16/2006/1865 ) and refer to the
type of exit polling Steve has
created and why we need to create our own exit polls in the face of what's
transpired over the past 3 elections:

... see the emerging pattern: First Florida in 2000; then the 2002
senatorial races delivering the Legislature to the Republicans; then the 2004
election. The increased use of electronic voting systems, curiously, is
proportional
to the declining reliability of exit polls (which are still viewed as highly
reliable everywhere but here.)

......just a coincidence that the sudden rise of inaccurate exit polls
happened around the same time corporate-programmed, computer-controlled, voting
machines began recording and tabulating ballots.

Exit polls funded by six major news organizations showed Kerry comfortably
leading Bush as late as 12:20 am on Wednesday morning. These same exit polls,
seen worldwide as so reliable that they're used to ensure against fraud, had
just been used to overturn the Ukranian election and have until 2000 been a
bedrock of reliability in the US (significant, inexplicable discrepancies
between exit polls and official tallies only started showing up in the U.S. in
2000 and only in Florida). And yet a few hours after the exit polls were
showing a clear Kerry sweep....... The odds on one state switching the next
morning
from Kerry to Bush "are about one in one hundred. For four, it's a virtual
statistical impossibility. Add the fact that not one, not four, but TEN of
eleven swing states showed drastic shifts from Kerry to Bush and you enter the
realm of, well, a stolen election." Fitrakis and Wasserman, 10/18/05, Why
Can't the Left Face the Stolen Elections of 2004 & 2008

The Election Verification Exit Poll Project Plan Steve Freeman has developed
is not an Internet exit poll, which is important for reasons Steve can
explain. Go to Steve's site: _http://www.appliedresearch.us/sf/index.htm_
(http://www.appliedresearch.us/sf/index.htm and contact him or use his email
address at the top of this email. For those of you not familiar with Steve's
work,
this is from the site to his book on the theft of the 2004 election:

STEVEN F. FREEMAN's analyses, together with a study by the University of
California, Berkeley's sociology and demography departments, are recognized to
have been the first serious attempts to examine the validity of the outcome of
the 2004 presidential election. Freeman holds a Ph.D. from MIT's Sloan School
of Management. He is on the teaching faculty of the University of
Pennsylvania's Center for Organizational Dynamics, where in addition to his
regular
courses, he teaches workshops research methods and survey design (a domain that
includes polling.)

PLEASE FORWARD TO YOUR LISTS-- Anyone interested in working with Steve to
execute this exit poll protocol in the 2006 election to be used in the 2008
election, should contact Steve immediately. PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT TO GET THIS
TO VOTING ACTIVISTS IN AND AROUND PENNSYLVANIA.

Thanks
