In past weeks, the Presbyterian Church's 160-year-old Westminster John Knox Press has recently published 'Christian Faith and the Truth behind 9/11: A Call to Reflection and Action,' by David Ray Griffin, and recent Zogby and other online news polls (AOL & CNN) indicate that between 50 and 70 percent of Americans want a new 9/11 investigation including examination of whether elements of the U.S. Govt. was complicit in the attacks of 9/11.
After watching the hell that the people on 9/11 went thru at the WTCs, and listening to MSNBC's interview, I felt like the best way to honor the dead is to demand that we know the whole truth about 9/11.
I noticed in the film that explosions were going off in different parts of WTC 1, where the policemen depicted in the film were stationed. I also noticed at one point hot molten metal raining down on the firemen. In the MSNBC interview David Ray Griffin, a member of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, pointed out that the fall of the towers, and rate of fall, indicates controlled demolition. Also, burning jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to create molten steel, thermate charges would be most likely. This would point to an inside job, because it takes many days to set thermite steel-cutting demolition charges to decimate buildings like the WTCs on 9/11.
Controlled demolition would explain the many explosions the firemen heard leading up to the collapse, and also the molten metal that came down on them. The film also shows how dumbfounded the police were when they saw WTC Building 7 collapse like a controlled demolition for no apparent reason hours later.
David Ray Griffin on MSNBC explained that the 9/11 Commission charged with investigating 9/11, failed to mention WTC 7 in their report. The building that was NOT hit by a plane, yet made engineering history for being only the 3rd steel reinforced skyscraper in engineering history to collapse because of fire. WTC 1, and WTC 2, were the 1st and 2nd in history to collapse due to fire. So, it was indeed a historic day, because the laws of physics were violated three times all in one day.
Recently on C-SPAN a physics professor from Brigham Young University announced that he had test two samples of debris from the WTCs, and found traces of "thermate." Thermate is a patented control demolition explosive containing thermite and sulpher, the sulpher is used as an accelerant to cut thru steel.
These questions alone demand a massive investigation. After seeing "World Trade Center" I cannot imagine anyone saying that the heroes who died that day deserve anything less than complete truth. There is no question "too hard" to be asked.
In fact the only people I could think of who might deny that, are Tucker Carlson and a handful of major media talking heads. What are the odds that such a small percentage of the American people all happen to be in positions in the media to control what everyone else pays attention to?
I'd say the fact that BYU found traces of thermate on WTC debris should be 6 inch headlines in newspapers nationwide, and the main topic on talk shows . . . yet barely a peep, unless they are insulting physicists or engineers or theologians who share such disturbing facts with us.
In memory of the heroes of the WTC attacks, there is no greater honor we can offer them, then to thoroughly examine the events of that day until there is absolutely no doubt of what the truth is. I suggest everyone visit "Scholars for 9/11 Truth" website, and begin a journey of discovery, that should lead far beyond their site, until we all know exactly what happened on 9/11.
