Thousands of tribesmen of Bajaur Agency tribal areas situated on Pak-Afghan border bid farewell to one of their beloved princes, shamsul Wahab alias Pacha Khan, with full respect and due patience.
Shamsul Wahab was made target by the terrorists near his house situated in Khar, the headquarter of Bajaur Agency. Once Khar was the capital when Bajaur Agency was a state ruled by the father of Shamsul Wahab Abdus Subhan Khan. The deceased prince was laid to rest in his anscetral graveyards.
There was complete silence in the whole of Bajaur Agency as the people have been afraid to talk about the issue. Now they have realised that terrorists have reached very close to them. No one knows who is a terrorist, but all of them have been eyeing one another with musch suspicion.
The people of Bajaur Agency tribal areas have great love for their princes. Abdus Subhan Khan was the ruler of Bajaur Agency until 1973 when Pakistan included the area in its jurisdiction. Abdus Subhan Khan has five sons. The people have great effection for them. "Killing of Prince Shams has broken my heart," said a participant of the funeral prayers.
According to a report, a roadside bomb killed tribal elder Nawabzada Shamsul Wahab Khan and his driver and injured two of his bodyguards here on Thursday. Witnesses said that Nawabzada Shams, who was an agency councillor, was heading home from the Khar bazaar when his vehicle hit a remote-controlled improvised explosive device.
Nawabzada Shams and driver Hussain Khan were rushed to a nearby hospital where they died. Bodyguards Muneer Khan and Mustapha suffered serious injuries and were being treated.
Family members of Nawabzada Shams claimed that they had no enemies.
Almost all the tribes of Bajaur Agency made sure to have presentation in the last funeral rites of the deceased prince. The tribesmen showed their allegaince to the elder son of Nawab Absubhan Khan, Muhammad Iqbal, to his father given the status of crown prince.
The terrorists have been continuing killing the innocent tribesmen, but the US administration has been showering laurals on Pakistani rulers.
