I wondered if anyone would turn out because it's a holiday weekend. But I was wrong! It's also the 250th anniversary of Lexington-Concord, and that spirit will never die. Thank you, patriots: 250 years ago today America began its march toward independence at the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The battles marked "No Kings Day, Part I." Today millions of Americans will take part in "No Kings Day, Part II."

Karoline Leavitt Is Also A Campaign Grifter, Go Figure

Karoline Leavitt is a good daughter and paid back mommy and daddy the advance on her allowance. What's the big deal? White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt's failed congressional campaign is still more than $320,000 in debt, according to campaign finance documents filed this week. Sen Van Hollen: Kilmar Abrego Garcia Has Been Moved Out Of Notorious CECOT

Senator Chris Van Hollen says that Kilmar Abrego Garcia has been moved from El Salvador's notorious CECOT prison to a lower-security detention facility. That's a good start, but he still deserves due process. The Democratic Senator on Friday detailed his recent meeting with Garcia, saying the Maryland father said he was being "traumatized" by his time at the country's notorious CECOT prison and has since been moved. "He said he was not afraid of the other prisoners in his immediate cell but that he was traumatized by being at CECOT and fearful of many of the prisoners in other cell blocks who called out to him and taunted him in various ways," Van Hollen told reporters at Dulles Airport near Washington, DC, after landing back in the US.

Guess Where Trump Got His 'Faith'

Donald Trump's lapdog in the State Department made a call to action earlier this week, asking employees there to report anyone who seemed to give off any "anti-Christian" vibes in the workplace.  And while Secretary of State Marco Rubio is sniffing out those deemed sacrilegious by snitches, one of Trump's mouthpieces is hilariously doubling down on the affair-riddled president's public-facing faith""which he found on TV, apparently.

Judge Rules Google Broke The Law To Keep Advertising Monopoly

Google acted illegally to maintain a monopoly in some online advertising technology, a federal judge ruled yesterday, adding to legal troubles that could reshape the $1.86 trillion company and alter its power over the internet. (Not to mention, possibly restoring access to advertising that used to keep a reliable revenue stream for blogs like ours!) Via the New York Times: Judge Leonie Brinkema of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia said in a 115-page ruling that Google had broken the law to build its dominance over the largely invisible system of technology that places advertisements on pages across the web. The Justice Department and a group of states had sued Google, arguing that its monopoly in ad technology allowed the company to charge higher prices and take a bigger portion of each sale.

DeSantis Pal Arrested For Indecent Exposure - For 4th Time

Fred Piccolo is a former COVID spokesman for Gov. Ron DeSantis and now the former marketing director for Florida's New College. You may recall that New College is a formerly progressive liberal arts school that DeSantis vowed to transform into a bastion of conservatism.
