At University when one studies the Philosophy of Religions, the European interpretations are quite different from those of American "Conservatives." So this conflict of what constitutes "Christian behavior" is not a new one, but what is new is Pope Francis speaking out about it. I wager that Oxford is cheering over this one.

As a ordained Christian minister of liberal bent, i couldn't agree more! I have severe allergies to Fundamentalist demagogue extremists who whine when 'their' Courts don't judge in their favor, so having to clean up their act. This is especially true in political matters. If they are unhappy NOW, what are they going to do when they are forbidden to have their cake and eat it also?
