The Democratic Party has a rare and brilliant opportunity to use the GOP's vicious attacks on Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, together with its war on the American people, to deliver a solid knockout blow to their entire agenda. This could be a major turning point for America; it's time to seize the moment.
Of course, many will say that this entire plan to oust a mass of Republicans is just wishful thinking, that it simply cannot be done, that it's virtually impossible to motivate and mobilize the majority of Americans. But that's exactly the kind of negative thinking that has persisted in America for far too long and it's a major reason why we find ourselves in this gigantic mess. That attitude must change, it can no longer dominate our thinking; its' time that we do the hard work required to restore our failing democracy.
This is a time when "real change" can come to America. If we the American people have the will and the energy, if we put our minds to it, then it will happen and America can, finally, head into a new, more positive direction. And the Republican war on the American people will end with their complete defeat.
