Ayesha Gilani, Miss Pakistan World 2009 and the President of Miss and Mrs. Pakistan World, Sonia Ahmed met the former President in Washington DC, at one of the dinners arranged in his honor. And quite recently, Mrs. Pakistan World 2010 met with the President at his residence in the United Kingdom.
When asked about why this interest in the Former President, Sonia Ahmed stated that the former president is a man who has changed Pakistan and meeting him is an honor for us moderate thinkers for our nation. It was the change that he brought amongst the people of Pakistan which no other leader could do.
Miss Pakistan World, Ayesha Gilani an avid fan of the President, stated that she believed in him then and believes in him now as well. She further added that President Musharraf has done a lot for women's right which is a subject that is close to her heart. Tahmena Bokhari the present Mrs. Pakistan World 2010, stated in her blog that President Musharraf's leadership was very impressive especially during the earthquake relief efforts in Pakistan. She has thanked him for his strong leadership and on going faith in the nation and the people of Pakistan.
So with the beauty queens of Pakistan showing their great support for their leader, President Musharraf will always remain as their favorite.
