Seems the American people never learn. On this coming November 2, we citizens of America will once again go vote to change the course of America, a vote to decide our own personal future as well as the future of our Children and their Children. This charade is repeated every two and four years, always with the same result, The Political Party, whether Republican or Democrat, will gain more power to oppress the people. Almost nothing ever changes.
This time we will select from only two options: Either a return to the politics that brought us to our current economic horror, or a repudiation of the politics that feigned to correct those previous destructive policies. Neither Party deserves to represent our interests. Yet we will expect things to change for the better. Could such an expectation be classified as insanity?
Vote we will, and choose we will, but we will be presented only those two choices given us by our Republican and Democrat masters - what dug the hole, or what kept us in the hole.
And while we glow in our uninformed satisfaction, that we showed the bastards from the other Party, we the people will choose to remain blissfully ignorant that there is another, more fruitful option, one that would help us immensely, one that would bring sanity back to our Government. An option that would change forever the fact that neither of our oppressive Political Parties can finish worse than second in this in this political rat-race.
I , along with the majority of America, welcomed in a promise of meaningful change from a charismatic candidate, thinking that this new President would bring a change from business as usual. The Obama unfilled promise coupled with the Republican strategy to prolong America's misery brought the perfect storm down on the heads of the American people. And the actions of the two dueling parties contained no intent to help the suffering of the American people, it was all about catering to Special Interests while each Party worked to subvert the other Party.
Party Loyalty is killing the American dream.
Is this country today a more moral and ethical country than it was 10 years ago? Are we better off economically and intellectually than we were 10 years ago? Will going back to the policies of the last ten years bring us out of this mess?
I pose that junking Party Loyalty is the ONLY promise for a better future. We need to remove every incumbent at every opportunity, we need to vote for a non-Party Candidate at every opportunity, we need to bring to trial every elected official and every non-elected official that breaks the law and ignores the Constitution. We need to give them a fair trial before we give them extended sentences in prison. We need to give meaning to the words "Take our Country Back". We need to end this Political Insanity that enables the destruction of the American Dream.
Tuesday would be a good time to start.
