To Support the DSCC or Not? I Say NOT!!
I just received an email from NY Senator Chuck Schumer, purportedly a Democrat, even the chair of the DSCC-- the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee. He's asking for money. Here's my reply:
I won't give a cent until Sen. Schumer promises to actively back the winner of the CT primary, even if it's not Joe Lieberman. I am also recommending that my readers (500,000 progressive visitors a month) take the same policy. If you're going to ask for US to contribute to Democratic causes, you damned well better support democratic candidates yourself.
So, I encourage you, contact Schumer's office at 202-224-6542 and tell him that you won't give the DSCC a cent unless he publicly declares that he will support the winner of the CT democratic primary.
