Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 1882-1945I hope to work hard enough to earn the continuing support and lively participation of the people who more and more arre becoming active members of the community that is evolving at this site. Almost every time I speak on the phone or swap emails with someone who's been coming to the site a while, I hear of new friends made here. I'm hoping this new blogging system will build healthy community. I've seen how message boards, blogging sites, forums and the like can get very nasty, with personal, ad hominem attacks. I'm hoping we'll be able to keep things affable and respectful. But just in case, we'll be having moderators and we'll have a "flag" link that lets you notify us that a posting is for some reason inappropriate-- and we'll have a list of rules so we have some consistency on this. I'll stop now on this one. Looking forward to using this new development of the site to make brief remarks and longwinded rants-- and to seeing yours.
