Right winger or not, the right wing and their lamestream media have milked Cho's massacre to further their emotional message... be afraid, be terrified.

A week later, the lamestream media are still obsessing on the mass murders of the 32 VA Tech students and faculty. I turn on CNN, only to see a mother crying because she's going home, leaving her son to finish his term at the school.

I ask the question, "was Cho a Right Winger," because this massacre has helped the Republican cause by helping their message... a lot.

I turn the sound off, so I can write with a clearer head. But the ad on CNN flashes to a scene from 9/11-- people running from the WTC towers, in terror.

That's the word, the message and the Republican cause. Terror is more than a word. It is a tone, a feeling, a way of living.

I switch to MSNBC. It's the Don Imus time slot and they're trying different people for the role of interviewer. Local Philly boy, Michael Smerconish is interviewing Rudy Giuliani, on... you guessed it... VA Tech and gun law. The lamestream media marathon onslaught continues.

Giuliani says, "Do you need armed people on campus? I thought we needed armed people in New York City schools..." They are ON MESSAGE.

The message? Be afraid.

Now, we know this was not a terrorist event. It was terrifying, but not terrorIST.

Still, the strongest trump card the right wing has had in the past five years, since the WTC destruction of two towers that were hit by fuel loaded jets and one tower that collapsed because of... a miracle, or whatever... has been the fear of terrorism-- of explosions, of suicide bombers, of WMDs like aerosolized anthrax, poison gas or a nuclear dirty bomb.

This psycho nutcase student couldn't have done more for the right wing cause-- the use of fear to shape political priorities.

Millions of soccer Moms, over the course of six years have become College Moms or getting ready for college, taking the kids to visit college campus moms. These are the people, with the Ws bumper stickers still on their SUVs-- those that they bought in 2004 which they're getting ready to turn in as their leases are up, maybe buying used cars this year, as their homes, which they bought that year have crashed in value and their three year arms have jumped their mortgage costs by 20 to 50%.

Back to the Lamestream media tube; Smerconish is interviewing Rev. Fred Phelps, the toxic preacher who bring signs to funerals stating "thank God for 9/11" and "thank God for IEDs.' This guy is despicable beyond measure, and Smerconish is unable to deal with him as an interviewee, so he has to shut off the microphone-- appropriately. The Rev. did a radio interview Hari Kari-- a one shot. He'll never be invited on again. But while Smerconish is reaching that decision, Phelps is dishing out bible talk-- that God is punishing America, that the dead GIs in Iraq, the lost lives at the WTC on 9/11 are "smoke coming from the nostrils of God"-- punishment for allowing gays to thrive in America.

Smerconish does a decent job with this toxic nut who reportedly makes his living litigating against people he pisses off so much they take violent or other illegal action against him and is contemptible flock.

Then he takes a caller. He's simultaneously doing his Philly morning drive time show and covering the Imus slot.

Caller: "You made your bed with the religious right. "
