Going Beyond Words: How to differentiate between 'Fake' and 'Real'.

Katrin R.

I have not been around here for a while, and perhaps this is why I

immediately notice, and with 'shock' I admit, how consistently

negative some people are around here.

They criticize those who express their gratitude, and happiness, and

joy about Obama. They call 'us' deluded, and our thinking 'not based

in reality'.

'We' supposedly think that Obama is GOD reincarnated; we idealize him; we

naively believe in the same bullshit we have heard from Bush, namely,

the same words'.

'If we were only to look at reality, like them, it would be

clear that no change is coming, or going. Obama has not even started,

and we already are carried away by Hope? What Idiots!'

The critics, and who are most often  extreme 'lefties', believe that the mind alone is the ultimate source of power, knowledge and judgement

They don't understand how 'we', the ones whose' hearts are laughing

at this moment in time, can be so superficial; how we can believe all

the promises, and this crap about hope and change, when we should

have learned our lesson from Bush, and who deceived so many.

Plus,

can't we see the world is crumbling? Are we blind? How can 'we' be

happy when everything is truly bad?

No, we are not blind, and it is possible to combine joy with living

in a 'bad world' without suffering from cognitive dissonance.

I

personally don't believe much in words myself. That is, the words

spoken alone tell me absolutely nothing about whether they are the

truth or a lie, or if they are said by a  crook or an honest, real

person.

Something like 98% of all communication happens on a non verbal level.

I have not seen any research about this topic, but my own experience

tells me, that this non verbal communication is not limited to taking

place when you share the same room with another person. This type of

communication, and/or everything that operates  beyond words also

applies to communicating on line, and  even when you cannot see the

person, but also when you watch them on TV.

What makes me trust Obama is not his words alone by far. It's not

even about what I believe,  or not believe in about what he says. It's

about what I know to be true, and not.

The truth comes out over and over again in the simplest gestures, and

Obama did not only start yesterday. Obama has not done anything yet? (a lot of people say?)  He has been doing, and revealing himself,  all along.

A simple gesture like the following as an example.

We know both Bush and Obama are Christians, right?

Bush demonstratively announces all about his faith, and his reborn

status. He places his right hand on the Bible when sworn into office.

On the other hand, with Obama we first had to follow all this really

inconvenient stuff about his relationship with Pastor Wright, right?

Was that suspicious? I thought it revealed quite the opposite about

Obama's  decency. (A major example, and validation of how Obama deals with issues as he faces them)

And then, when sworn in by Justice Roberts for the second time at the White House, Obama

doesn't place his hand on the Bible, but he raises his arm instead.

He lets us know that he trusts himself, and he does not hold GOD

responsible.

The smallest gestures tell the world apart.
