In it, I highlight the American investigative journalist Philip Shenon's bleak new 2025 book Jesus Wept: Seven Popes and the Battle for the Soul of the Catholic Church. As the main title of his bleak new 2025 book may suggest to you, Philip Shenon dwells at length on the tragic priest-sex-abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church and on the tragic cover-up of priest sex abuse by bishops. However, as Philips Shenon's subtitle suggests, he also dwells at length on the various theological battles within the Church on the Church's official teachings involving various individual personal sexual matters.
In addition to the various classic theological battles involving individual personal sexual matters within the Roman Catholic Church that Philip Shenon refers to in his bleak new 2025 book Jesus Wept, I would also single out here two other books for your attention by lay Catholic authors: (1) Margaret A. Farley's Just Love: A Framework for Christian Sexual Ethics (2006); and (2) The Sexual Person: Toward a Renewed Catholic Anthropology (2008).
Of course, Philip Shenon is not the first or the only non-Catholic to question the Roman Catholic Church's official teachings about those sex-related moral issues. As he notes repeatedly, various Catholic theologians over the years have also challenged those sex-related moral teachings of the Church - and so have many practicing Catholics.

I retired from teaching at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) at the end of May 2009 at the typical retirement age of 65. I taught at UMD from September 1987 to the end of May 2009 - more than twenty years.
Before that, I was in the Jesuit order from 1979 to 1987. But I left the Jesuits before I was ordained. When I was in the two-year Jesuit novitiate of the Missouri Province in Denver, Colorado, I made a thirty-day directed retreat in silence (except for my daily conferences with the retreat director) following The Spiritual Exercises of the Renaissance Spanish mystic St. Ignatius Loyola (1491-1556), the founder of the Jesuit order (known formally as the Society of Jesus). My 30-day retreat director was the novice master, Father Edward O'Brien, S.J. To this day, my 30-day directed retreat is one of the most memorable events in my life. I still have the complete translation of Father Louis Puhl's famous 1951 edition of The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius: A New Translation, Based on Studies in the Language of the Autograph that Father O'Brien gave me page by page during my 30-day directed retreat.
Essentially Ignatian meditation and contemplation involves what I would describe as a guided form of fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking (in Jung's terminology). The guided part is supplied by St. Ignatius Loyola's succinct instructions, on the one hand, and by the selected scripture passages, on the other hand. The selected scripture passages include images. Nevertheless, each person making the retreat following the Spiritual Exercises needs to engage his or her own imagination to imagine each scriptural scene. In these two ways Ignatian meditation and contemplation following the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola involve what I am here describing as guided meditation using fantasy thinking (in Jung's terminology). But what Jung came to refer to as active imagination involved what I would here describe as essentially freewheeling meditation, allowing one unconscious to give rise to images in one's ego-consciousness. (in the present essay, Jung's name appears 62 times.)

Now, my undying infatuation with Father Ong and his work began in the fall semester of 1964 when I took my first course from him at Saint louis University - more than 60 years ago now. In 2000, I published my award-winning book Walter Ong's Contributions to Cultural Studies: The Phenomenology of the Word and I-Thou Communication. In it, I surveyed Ong's life and eleven of his books and selected articles. My book received the Marshall McLuhan Award for Outstanding Book in the Field of Media Ecology, conferred by the Media Ecology Association in June 2001.

Ezra Klein (born on May 4, 1984) and Martin Gurri discussed Gurri's revised and expanded 2018 second edition of his 448-page book titled The Revolt of the Public and the Crisis of Authority in the New Millennium (1st ed., 2014). When I printed out the NYT transcript of their discussion, it ran to 28 pages in length.

In my March 1, 2025, email message to Ezra Klein about his interview with Martin Gurri, I explained that my attached 12,700-word OEN article highlighted the American investigative reporter Philip Shenon's bleak new 2025 book titled Jesus Wept: Seven Popes and the Battle for the Soul of the Catholic Church.
Now, I do not expect that what Philip Shenon styles "the Battle for the Soul of the Catholic Church" to be resolved in the near future. Apart from "the Battle for the Soul of the Catholic Church" that Philip Shenon skillfully accentuates, there is also the still big battle that we in Western culture today still need to wage against our Western anti-body heritage. In my judgment, I see most heterosexual porn on the internet and in DVDs as engaged in waging this crucial battle today. Ong's thought to construct a fourfold account of our Western cultural history, on the one hand, and, on the other, of the history of the Roman Catholic Church from (1) the historical Jesus of Nazareth in the residually oral ancient Hebrew culture through (2) the ancient and medieval Catholic manuscript culture into and through (3) the modern print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s, including the famous Council of Trent (1545-1563), into (4) our contemporary secondary oral culture that emerged decisively around 1960 and included the Second Vatican Council in the Roman Catholic Church (1962-1965).
In my March 1, 2025, email message to Ezra Klein about his interview with Martin Gurri, I pointed out, on the one hand, that Martin Gurri's media theory accentuates recent visual media involved in the recent historic emergence of digital media in our Western cultural history, and, on the other hand, that Walter J. Ong's media ecology theory accentuates the still-recent emergence about 1960 of the critical mass of communication media that accentuate sound in our Western cultural history - which Ong refers to as our contemporary secondary oral culture - which will continue for the foreseeable future, regardless of the various visual media transformations that may occur.
Now, my 12,700-word OEN article "Philip Shenon on the Last Seven Popes" includes a far more extensive discussion of Walter J. Ong's thought than I covered in my lengthy OEN article "Walter J. Ong's Philosophical Thought" (dated September 20, 2020).
Subsequently, I read the lengthy transcript at The New York Times website (dated March 1, 2025) of Ezra Klein's wide-ranging interview with his fellow journalist, the prolific Fareed Zakaria (born on January 20, 1964) titled "The Dark Heart of Trump's Foreign Policy." When I printed it out, the text ran to 37 pages in length. I will use the pagination of the 37-page printout of Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein's discussion in "The Dark Heart of Trump's Foreign Policy," in my parenthetical documentation here.
Now, I could have titled the present 28,800--word OEN article "Thomas J. Farrell's Encore About Walter J. Ong's Thought," because of my extensive discussion of Ong's thought in my 12,700-word OEN article. I have titled two earlier OEN articles as "Thomas J. Farrell's Encore" about a previous OEN article:
(1) "Thomas J. Farrell's Encore on Young Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman" (dated September 30, 2024);
(2) "Thomas J. Farrell's Encore on Robert Moore" (dated October 10, 2024).
However, I have decided not to follow this earlier OEN pattern here in the title the present 28,800--word OEN article. Just to be clear, I began working on the present OEN article on March 2, 2025. About that time, I lost my landline telephone and internet service. When I was without my telephone and internet service during the following days, I continued to work on the present 28,800--word OEN article off and on. Consequently, it gradually grew longer and longer over time - until I was able to re-establish my internet service.
Now, the prolific Fareed Zakaria is the author most recently of the book Age of Revolutions: Progress and Backlash from 1600 to the Present (2024).
Now, in my 12,700-word OEN article "Philip Shenon on the Last Seven Popes," I used Ong's media ecology thought to construct a fourfold account of our Western cultural history:
(1) the pre-literate period of primary oral-aural communication - before the introduction of phonetic alphabetic literacy in ancient Hebrew culture and in ancient Greek culture;
(2) the literate ancient and medieval manuscript culture in our Western cultural history;
(3) the far more extensively literate print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s;
(4) our contemporary secondary oral culture that is the byproduct of the critical mass of communication media that accentuate sound (television, telephone, radio, audio-recordings, movies with soundtracks, and, more recently, podcasts) that emerged in our Western cultural history around 1960.
Now, taking various hints from Ong's work, I have discussed our contemporary secondary oral culture in our Western cultural history in my essay "Secondary Orality and Consciousness Today" (1991).
Now, Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein have nothing to say about the first two of the four periods that I discuss in my fourfold media ecology account of our Western cultural history and of the history of the Roman Catholic Church in my 12,700-word OEN article "Philip Shenon on the Last Seven Popes."
Now, I tend to see Russia even today and China today as residual forms of what Ong refers to as primary oral cultures - that is, residually oral in the way in which ancient and medieval manuscript culture in our Western cultural history were.
I have interpreted our Western cultural history in terms of Ong's work in my article "The West Versus the Rest: Getting Our Cultural Bearings from Walter J. Ong" in Explorations in Media Ecology (2008).
Now, primary oral cultures and residual forms of primary oral culture tend to produce what Harvard sociologist David Riesman described as tradition-directed personality types in his classic 1950 book The Lonely Crowd: A Study of the Changing American Character. Yes, ancient and medieval Christians were tradition-directed personality types - and to this day, Roman Catholics honor their sense of Roman Catholic tradition. The inner-directed personality type that Riesman clearly favors emerged in our Western cultural history in ancient and medieval times and became widespread during the print culture that emerged after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.
Ong (1957) briefly discussed Riesman's three personality types (pp. vii and 39). Ong may have even used Riesman's term inner-directed occasionally in some of his 400 or so distinct publications. In any event, what Riesman referred to as the inner-directed personality type involved what Ong (1982) came to refer to as the inward turn of consciousness (pp. 178-179).

Now, for all practical purposes, despite their frequent references to Putin and Russia and to China, Fareed Zakarian and Ezra Klein discuss "Trump's Foreign Policy" primarily in terms of the print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.

I refer to these five book as pioneering studies of print culture because there are far too many scholarly studies of print culture, in various languages, in our Western cultural history for anyone to compile a classified bibliography of them comparable in scope to Marco Mostert classified bibliography of ancient and medieval studies of manuscript culture, in various languages, in our Western cultural history in his 650-page 2012 book A Bibliography of Works on Medieval Communication.
Now, in Fareed Zakaria's 2024 book Age of Revolutions: Progress and Backlash from 1600 to the Present, mentioned above, all of the revolutions in Western culture took place after print culture emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.
Now, print culture in our Western cultural history gave rise to the great expansion of what Riesman describes as the inner-directed personality type.
Now, whatever else may be said about Donald Trump, he is not an inner-directed personality type. But he is also not a tradition-directed personality type.
Ah, but what about Riesman's third personality type, the other-directed personality type? Well, perhaps Donald Trump represents a dark version of the other-directed personality type, not the positive version of the other-directed personality type that Ong (1957, pp. vii and 39) holds out for and indeed seems to favor. (Later in the twentieth century, the Jesuits came to describe themselves as "men for others" - Riesman's other-directed personality type.)
As a dark version of Riesman's other-directed personality type, all personal interactions for the con-man Donald Trump are transactional. Indeed, he is not capable of having an i-thou relationship with another person. Moreover, Fareed Zakaria describes Trump as "so mercurial" and "so idiosyncratic" (p. 2).
Now, in Ong's "Preface" in his 1977 book Interfaces of the Word: Studies in the Evolution of Consciousness and Culture (pp. 9-13), he says the following in the first sentence: "The present volume carries forward work in two earlier volumes by the same author, The Presence of the Word (1967) and Rhetoric Romance, and Technology (1971)." He then discusses these two earlier volumes.
Then, Ong says, "The thesis of these two earlier works is sweeping, but it is not reductionist, as reviewers and commentators, so far as I know, have all generously recognized: the works do not maintain that the evolution from primary orality through writing and print to an electronic culture, which produces secondary orality, causes or explain everything in human culture and consciousness. Rather, the thesis is relationist: major developments, and very likely even all major developments, in culture and consciousness are related, often in unexpected intimacy, to the evolution of the word from primary orality to its present state. But the relationships are varied and complex, with cause and effect often difficult to distinguish" (pp. 9-10; my boldface).
Major cultural developments include the rise of modern science, the rise of modern capitalism, the rise of representative democracy, the rise of the Industrial Revolution, and the rise of the Romantic Movement in philosophy, literature, and the arts.
In the shorthand terminology that Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein use, social and political liberalism are major cultural developments in our Western cultural history.

Now, in effect, Ong implicitly works with this thesis in his massively researched book Ramus, Method, and the Decay of Dialogue: From the Art of Discourse to the Art of Reason (1958), mentioned above - his major exploration of the influence of the Gutenberg printing press that emerged in the mid-1450s. Taking a hint from Ong's massively researched 1958 book, Marshall McLuhan worked up some examples of his own in his sweeping 1962 book The Gutenberg Galaxy: The Making of Typographic Man (sic), mentioned above.
Now, after Ong's massively researched book Ramus, Method, and the Decay of Dialogue about print culture in our Western cultural history was published in 1958, Ong subsequently came to make the crucial differentiation of what he termed primary oral culture from what he termed secondary oral culture.
For Ong, what he termed primary oral culture featured what he came to refer to as orally based thought and expression - before the impact of phonetic alphabetic literacy in ancient Hebrew culture and in ancient Greek culture. See Ong's 1982 summative book Orality and Literacy: The Technologizing of the Word (esp. pp. 36-57).
I have discussed Ong's account of orally based thought and expression in his 1982 book Orality and Literacy: The Technologizing of the Word at length in my article "Walter Ong and Harold Bloom Can Help Us Understanding the Hebrew Bible" in Explorations in Media Ecology (2012).
Now, the most prominent historical events that Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein explicitly discuss are the following: "the open international system that the United States and Europe have built over the last eight decades" (p. 3), "After World War II" (p. 4), "the relationships that you had built over eight decades" (p. 5), "They [the Germans today] don't have any industry in the digital economy" (p. 7), "But the idea that we can go back to 1950 is just nuts" (p. 7), "Western liberal ideas and ideology" (p. 13), "Western liberal ideas" (p. 13), "Western-style, capitalist, liberal democracy" (p. 13), "Westernization" and "liberalism" (p. 13), "Western liberalism" (p. 14), "the rule of law and individual rights and individual liberties" (p. 15), "the rise of liberalism in Europe after the revolutions of 1848" (p. 16), "this godless, reckless liberty and liberalism that is engulfing the world [today]" (p. 16), "the last 30 years by the forces of globalization and liberalism" (p. 24).
When Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein refer to "Western liberal ideas and ideology," they mean Western political liberalism and Western economic liberalism - both were major cultural developments in the print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.
Now, from Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein's discussion of "The Dark Heart of Trump's Foreign Policy," I see nothing in particular to connect Trump's foreign policy with print culture in our Western cultural history - or with our contemporary secondary oral culture.
In summary, I would borrow the terms that Fareed Zakaria used to describe Trump, "so mercurial" and "so idiosyncratic," to also describe Trump's foreign policy as idiosyncratic and mercurial.
Trump 2.0 is now repudiating certain American foreign policy values that American foreign policy worked diligently to develop since the end of World War II - as both Fareed Zakaria and Ezra Klein point out in their long NYT discussion of American foreign policy.
But those American foreign policy value are not the only American values now endangered by Trump 2.0. Trump 2.0 is also an existential threat to American values expressed in the 1776 Declaration of Independence and in the U.S. Constitution and By-Laws - American values that emerged in the print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.
Yes, Trump's apocalyptic views tend to resonate in our contemporary secondary oral culture with the memories in our collective unconscious of our human ancestors in primary oral cultures and their understandably fearful orientation in life.
But President Franklin D. Roosevelt correctly warned about allowing fear to get the better of us.
When we allow our unfounded fear to get the better of us, we embrace an apocalyptic view of the world. We have an unwarranted sense that the world is threatening. To be sure, the world does indeed contain existential threats to our personal and our collective well-being. We do indeed need to develop the ability to discern carefully what in the world is not a threat to our well-being and what is a threat to our well-being.
Yes, in my carefully considered judgment, Trump 2.0 is an existential threat to our American way of life.
Now, the NYT headline "The Dark Heart of Trump's Foreign Policy" is an apt characterization of Trump's foreign policy.
In my judgment, it would also be apt to speak of Trump's dark heart.
With all due respect for Joseph Conrad, Trump today is the heart of darkness in the United States today.

Robert Moore and his co-author Douglas Gillette have set forth an accessible account of the four masculine archetypes of maturity and their eight accompanying "shadow" in the male psyche - they are also in the female psyche - in their accessible 1990 book King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine.

In it, I criticize the Roman Catholic Church's individual personal moral vision, which I see as expressing what Robert Moore refers to as the Impotent Lover "shadow" form of the masculine Lover archetype in the human psyche and as expressing what Robert Moore refer to as the Impotent Lover "shadow" form of the feminine Lover archetype in the human psyche.
Now, in my estimate, President Trump is mainlining four "shadow" forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity:
(1) The Tyrant King "shadow" form of the King archetype of maturity;
(2) The Sadist "shadow" form of the masculine Warrior/Knight archetype of maturity;
(3) The Detached Manipulator "shadow" form of the masculine Magician/Shaman archetype of maturity;
(4) The Addicted Lover "shadow" form of the masculine Lover archetype of maturity.

Now, Trump's many American supporters, both male and female, are also mainlining these four "shadow" forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity in their psyches.
(But it does not necessarily follow that Trump's many American critics are NOT also mainlining these same four "shadow" forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity in their psyches. They may be. Then again, they may not be. Some of Trump's American critics may be drawing on the optimal and positive forms of the eight archetypes of maturity in their psyches.)
Yes, to be sure, Trump has many American supporters. His many American supporters may include some of our friends and neighbors - and scripture says that we are supposed to love our neighbors, even if they are Trump supporters.
Scripture references advocating love include the following (enumerated here is no particular order): (1) Leviticus 19:18; (2) Matthew 22:34-39; (3) Mark 12:28-31; (4) Luke 10:25-37; (5) John 13:34; (6) Galatians 5:14; (7) 1John 4:21; (8) Romans 15:1-2; (9) 1Corinthians 10:25; and (10) James 2:8.
Now, Shakespeare famously wrote love sonnets, some of which hint at a male lover. Oddly enough, a version of Shakespeare's "Sonnet 116" is the topic of the news story by Amelia Nierenberg in The New York Times titled "Not Time's Fool: A Rare Version of a Shakespeare Sonnet Is Discovered: An Oxford researcher found a rare, handwritten variation of one of Shakespeare's most famous love poems. About 400 years ago, its meaning might have been very different" (dated March 4, 2025).
The gist of Amelia Nierenberg's NYT news article is that the variation of Shakespeare's "Sonnet 116," which according to her report, "has a different opening, ending and seven additional lines, reads more like a celebration of political loyalty than romantic love." Yes, above and beyond, and besides romantic love, there is also political loyalty that involves a certain kind of love.
My point about love here is not to try to list all the different kinds of human love - but to acknowledge here the sheer spectrum of human love and loyalty to a certain other person and even love and loyalty to a certain cause that one favors.
For example, in the present essay, I am once again manifesting my love of and loyalty to the work of my former teacher at Saint Louis University, Walter J. Ong.
Now, I have explored how the form of love known as infatuation also influenced me and my life from late August 2024 into September 2024 when I watched the DVD version of the 1970s Wonder Woman television series, starring the beautiful young Lynda Carter (born in 1951), on the large-screen television in the living room of my home in Duluth, Minnesota. I was infatuated with her beautiful body. After I had moved into my new apartment in Manhattan, I went out for a walk one evening to explore my new neighbor. I stopped in a Deli. To my great surprise, the clerk who waited on me called my name and identified himself as Jim Mariani - an acquaintance I had known when both of us were undergraduates at Saint Louis University. We both graduated at the end of the spring semester of 1966.
I do not know exactly when Jim Mariani moved to Manhattan. But I do know that he moved to Manhattan because he was gay and wanted to be part of the gay community in Manhattan. I had never suspected that I was gay, and after listening to Jim Mariania's story about he had discovered years earlier that he was gay, I remained convinced that I was not gay. Nevertheless, I enjoyed meeting some of his gay friends and learning about the gay community in Manhattan.
Now, as I say, I do not expect either of these two longstanding sexual taboos to be overturned in the near future - even though I do expect mom-son porn videos and DVDs and dad-daughter porn videos on the internet and in DVDs to continue to be popular in the near future.

In Ong's extended account of the history of the formal study of logic from Aristotle down to Peter Ramus (1515-1572) and beyond, what Ong refers to as the aural-to-visual shift in our Western cultural history was involved in the prestige of what Jung refers to as directed thinking involving logic and the comparative denigration of what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking. Figuratively speaking, we can use the image of a seesaw. As the aural-to-visual shift in our Western cultural history worked in favor of visualism and directed thinking involving logic, this very same psychodynamic worked against fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking. With the help today of the widespread use of porn on the internet and in DVDs, we are witnessing the reverse seesaw action in Western culture - the comparative rise of what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking, on the one hand, and, on the other, the comparative decline of what Jung refers to as directed thinking involving logic.
Ah, but what, if anything, do these two contrasting seesaw tendencies have to do with Trump's foreign policy?
On the one hand, not many people today would claim that Trump's foreign policy involves what Jung refers to as directed thinking involving logic.
On the other hand, what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking gives us a useful term to use today to describe Trump's foreign policy.

Indeed, President Trump's many infatuated American fans are most likely mainlining the same four "shadow" forms of the masculine archetypes in their psyches as he is - that is the basis of their infatuation with him. However, while his many infatuated American fans most likely recognize this basis of their infatuation with him, their infatuation with him involves their projecting the optimal and positive form of each of the four masculine archetypes of maturity onto him. By projecting the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity onto him, President Trump's many infatuated American fans have an idealized view of him - which preserves their infatuation with him.
Looking back on my life today at the age of 81 (as of March 17, 2025 - yes, I was born on St. Patrick's Day in Ossining, New York, my father's hometown), I can now see that I was infatuated with Senator John F. Kennedy in his 1960 presidential campaign, with the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., in his eloquent leadership of the black civil rights movement in the 1960s, and with Father Walter J. Ong, S.J., when I took my first course from him in the fall semester of 1964.
No doubt the projection involved in infatuation and idealization of someone is a powerful experience to have.
Yes, years after President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, and years after Dr. King was assassinated in 1968, I was seriously disillusioned to learn about each of my two respective hero's sexual promiscuity.
Incidentally, I have written about President Kennedy's sexual promiscuity in my recent OEN article "John F. Kennedy Was a Compulsive Womanizer" (dated November 29, 2024).
And I have written about Dr. King in my OEN article "Jonathan Eig on the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr." (dated May 28, 2023).
When I was in high school, I was inspired by President Kennedy's inaugural address in 1961. I wrote my first op-ed commentary about his inspiring words in my high-school student newspaper. As a young man, I frequently thought that I was asking what I could do for my country when I protested against the Vietnam War - when I was receiving a draft deferment to continue my formal education at Saint Louis University.
I heard the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., speak on the campus of Saint Louis University on October 12, 1964, and I heard him speak in Montgomery, Alabama, on March 25, 1965, at the conclusion of the march from Selma, Alabama, that he led and that I joined with some other students from St. Louis.
Subsequently, Dr. King's inspiring speeches led me to devote ten years of my life (1969-1979) to teaching about a thousand black inner-city youth in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, and in New York City (in 1975-1976) in the context of open admissions. I also taught about a thousand white youth in the context of open admissions between 1969 and 1979.
I wrote about the context of open admission in higher education in my 1973 doctoral dissertation in the field of higher education at Saint Louis University, titled Opening the Door. In it, I wrote a ninety-page review of literature about open admissions in higher education (pp. 30-119). That ninety-page review of literature about open admissions helped fortify me enough that I published the article "Open Admissions, Orality, and Literacy" in the psychiatric Journal of Youth and Adolescence (1974). As the title suggests, I draw on Ong's work in it. When I sent Father Ong a copy of my essay at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Science in Stanford, California, he helped get my essay published in the psychiatric Journal of Youth and Adolescence. My article helped inspire Mina Shaughnessy to arrange to have me invited to teach English in the context of open admissions at the City College of the City University of New York in 1975-1976.
Now, even though we undoubtedly find it uplifting and, in a sense, consoling to be infatuated with our idealization of a certain significant person in our lives, we nevertheless face the challenge of learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity in our psyches -- and the optimal and positive forms of the four feminine archetypes of maturity in our psyches.
Now, there is no foolproof way for men and women today to learn how to access the optimal and positive forms of the eight archetypes of maturity in their psyches. Clearly, Robert Moore believed that he could assist men in learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes in their psyches by writing, with Douglas Gillette as his co-author, a detailed book about each of the four masculine archetypes in the male psyche in the early 1990s:
(1) The King Within: Accessing the King [Archetype] in the Male Psyche (1992a);
(2) The Warrior Within: Accessing the Knight [Archetype] in the Male Psyche (1992b);
(3) The Magician Within: Accessing the Shaman Archetype] in the Male Psyche (1993a);
(4) The Lover: Accessing the Lover [Archetype] in the Male Psyche (1993b).
As we know, Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette's five books in the early 1990s about the four masculine archetypes of maturity in the male psyche did not result in a mass movement of American men who had learned to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity in their psyches.
Incidentally, in 2007, Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette published the revised and expanded second edition of The King With: Accessing the King [Archetype] in the Male Psyche.
Now, when we talk about learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity in the human psyche - and when we also talk about learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four feminine archetypes in the human psyche - we are discussing major shifts that individual persons experience in their psyches, shifts in their individual personal consciousness.
Now, the Jungian psychoanalyst Erich Neumann synthesized C. G. Jung's wide-ranging work in his (Neumann's) book The Origins and History of Consciousness, translated by R. F. C. Hull (1954; orig. German ed., 1949).
Neumann's book The Origins and History of Consciousness is an impressive synthesis of Carl Gustav Jung's ambitious, and at times dangerous, work up to about 1949. The dangerous part of Jung's work took place during his self-experimentation with what he came to refer to as active imagination - but Jungian psychotherapists today no longer have their clients engage in the dangerous practice of active imagination.
Joan Chodorow has collected Jung's various statements about what he came to refer to as active imagination in the book Jung on Active Imagination (1997).
Basically, what Jung came to refer to as active imagination is a form of freewheeling meditation in which one allows one's imagination to be flooded with contents from one's unconscious. The danger involved is that the unconscious contents may overwhelm and overthrow one's ego-consciousness, thereby throwing one into a psychotic state.
Jung understood this possible danger. To safeguard himself again having his ego-consciousness overthrown by unconscious contents, he took certain steps to process the unconscious contents and thereby contain them - thereby avoiding having his ego-consciousness overthrown in a psychotic break. Jung processed the unconscious contents that he had experienced through the practice of active imagination by writing out account of what he experienced in his Black Books. In addition, Jung further processed the unconscious contents he had written about by also subsequently making works of art and drawings based on them in his Red Book.
In 2020, W. W. Norton and Company published the seven-volume set of Jung's Black Books: 1913-1932: Notebooks of Transformation, edited by Sonu Shamdasani, translated by Martin Liebscher, John Peck, and Sonu Shamdasani.
In 2009, W. W. Norton and Company published Jung's Red Book: Liber Novus (Latin for "New Book"), edited by Sonu Shamdasani, translated by Mark Kyburg, John Peck, and Sonu Shamdasani.
In any event, after Neumann's synthesis of Jung's lifework up to about 1949 was published in German in 1949, Jung undertook to revise his 1912 book about libido and re-title it in 1952 as Symbols of Transformation, translated by R. F. C. Hull, second edition (1967). In Part One, Chapter II is titled "Two Kinds of Thinking" (pp. 7-33), mentioned above. According to Jung, the two kinds of thinking are (1) fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking and (2) directed thinking involving logic.
Now, the two ways of thinking that Jung discusses are equivalent to the two ancient Greek mentalities that the classicist Eric A. Havelock discusses in his landmark book Preface to Plato (1963): (1) the Homeric Mind and (2) the Platonic Mind (i.e., the Western philosophical mind and directed thinking in the Western philosophical tradition -- and in the Christian theological tradition).
What Havelock refers to as the imagistic thinking of the Homeric Mind is the equivalent of what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking.
What Havelock refers to as the more abstract thinking of the Platonic Mind is the equivalent of what Jung refers to as directed thinking involving logic.
What Havelock refers to as the Homeric Mind involves what both Havelock and Ong refer to as primary orality, and what Havelock refers to as the Platonic Mind involves what both Havelock and Ong refer to as phonetic alphabetic literacy in ancient Greek philosophy exemplified by Plato and Aristotle and by our Western philosophic tradition of thought.
Now, for all practical purposes, what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking is characteristic of what Ong refers to as orally based thought and expression in his most widely translated 1982 book Orality and Literacy: The Technologizing of the Word (see esp. pp. 36-57), mentioned above.
Now, in Ong's 1971 book Rhetoric, Romance, and Technology: Studies in the Interaction of Expression and Culture (pp. 10-11), he succinctly summed up the eight stages of consciousness that Neumann delineates in his book The Origins and History of Consciousness as follows:
"The stages of psychic development as treated by Neumann are successively (1) the infantile undifferentiated self-contained whole symbolized by the uroboros (tail-eater), the serpent with its tail in its mouth, as well as by other circular or global mythological figures [including Nietzsche's imagery about the eternal return?], (2) the Great Mother (the impersonal womb from which each human infant, male or female, comes, the impersonal femininity which may swallow him [or her] up again), (3) the separation of the world parents (the principle of opposites, differentiation, possibility of change, (4) the birth of the hero (rise of masculinity and of the personalized ego) with its sequels in (5) the slaying of the mother (fight with the dragon: victory over primal creative but consuming femininity, chthonic forces), and (6) the slaying of the father (symbol of thwarting obstruction of individual achievement, [thwarting] what is new), (7) the freeing of the captive (liberation of the ego from endogamous [i.e., "married" within one's psyche] kinship libido and the emergence of the higher femininity, with woman now as person, anima-sister, related positively to ego consciousness), and finally (8) the transformation (new unity in self-conscious individualization, higher masculinity, expressed primordially in the Osiris myth but today entering new phases with heightened individualism [such as Nietzsche's overman] - or, more properly, personalism - of modern man [sic])" (Ong, 1971, pp. 10-11).
Now, regarding stage (2) The Great Mother (the impersonal womb from which each human infant, male or female, comes, the impersonal femininity which may swallow him [or her] up again) (in Ong's wording here), Neuman also published a major study titled The Great Mother: An Analysis of the Archetype, translated by Ralph Manheim (1955).
Now, Ong also sums up Neumann's Jungian account of the stages of consciousness in his (Ong's) book Fighting for Life: Contest, Sexuality [Gender], and Consciousness (1981, pp. 18-19; but also see the "Index" for further references to Neumann [p. 228]), the published version of Ong's 1979 Messenger Lectures at Cornell University.
Incidentally, I have discussed Ong account of male contesting behavior in his 1981 book Fighting for Life: Contest, Sexuality [Gender], and Consciousness at length in my essay "Faulkner and Male Agonism" in the book Time, Memory, and the Verbal Arts: Essays on the Thought of Walter Ong, edited by Dennis L. Weeks and Jane Hoogestraat (1998, pp. 203-221).
The verbal arts are grammar, rhetoric, and logic (also known as dialectic). The three verbal arts are also known as the classical trivium. Marshall McLuhan's 1943 Cambridge University doctoral dissertation was posthumously published, unrevised but with an editorial apparatus, as the book titled The Classical Trivium: The Place of Thomas Nashe in the Learning of His Time, edited by W. Terrence Gordon (2006). Thomas Nashe (1567-1601) was an Elizabethan playwright, poet, satirist, and pamphleteer.
Now, Ong's massively researched 1958 book Ramus, Method, and the Decay of Dialogue: From the Art of Discourse to the Art of Reason, mentioned above, contains a history of the formal study of logic from Aristotle down to Peter Ramus (1515-1572) and beyond, on the one hand, and, on the other, a history of the theory and practice of rhetoric in our Western cultural tradition.
Subsequently, Ong frequently thematized the history and practice of rhetoric in our Western cultural history - see, for example, his 1971 book Rhetoric, Romance, and Technology: Studies in the Interaction of Expression and Culture.
Yes, what Ong refers to as "Contest" in the subtitle of his 1981 book Fighting for Life: Contest, Sexuality [Gender], and Consciousness was the central psychodynamic involved in both the art of logic (also known as dialectic) and the art of rhetoric. In terms of the main title of Ong's 1981, both the art of logic (also known as dialectic) and the art of rhetoric involved verbal "Fighting."
Now, subsequent to the publication of Ong's massively researched 1958 book, he once again surveyed the formal study of the verbal art of logic in his magnificent "Introduction" to the 1982 English translation of John Milton's textbook in logic in Latin in Yale's Complete Prose Works of John Milton: Volume Eight: 1666-1682, edited by Maurice Kelley (pp. 144-207).
Ong's magnificent 1982 "Introduction" is reprinted as "Introduction to Milton's Logic" in volume four of Ong's Faith and Contexts, edited by Thomas J. Farrell and Paul A. Soukup (1999, pp. 111-142).
Now, in my 1998 essay "Faulkner and Male Agonism," I also discussed the work of Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette on the four masculine archetypes of maturity in the male psyche, mentioned above.
Now, I would draw your attention to Neumann's sequence of stages (7) and (8). His numbering of these two advanced stages of consciousness indicates their sequence - that is, stage (7) comes before stage (8) of the eight stages of consciousness that Neumann delineates in his book.
Neumann refers to stage (7) as involving "the emergence of the higher femininity" (in Ong's wording here). Neumann then refers to stage (8) as involving "higher masculinity" (in Ong's wording here).
Now, what Neumann refers to as the "higher masculinity" in stage (8) involves men and women who come to experience stage (8) in learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity that Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette describe in detail in their series of five books about the four masculine archetypes of maturity in the human psyche.
Now, what Neumann refers to as "the emergence of the higher femininity" in stage (7) of the eight stages of consciousness that he delineates in his book involves men and women who come to experience stage (7) in learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four feminine archetypes of maturity in their psyches.
Now, as you may recall, I have already discussed liberation of endogamous kinship libido in stage (7) of Neumann's eight stages of consciousness above in my long "Digression" (mostly about the devout Christian now-retired pornstar Mandy Flores and her beautiful big (39") boobs and her eye-catching big nipples and her juicy p*ssy in her mom-son porn videos on the internet).
Now, for all practical purposes, what Neumann refers to as "the emergence of the higher femininity" in stage (7) of the eight stages of consciousness that he delineates in his book involves what the Jungian psychoanalyst and psychological theorist Edward C. Whitmont refers to as the return of the goddess in the human psyche in his book titled Return of the Goddess (1982).
By the return of the goddess in the human psyche, Whitmont means the four feminine archetypes of maturity and their accompanying eight bipolar "shadow" forms.
Ah, but where, exactly, are the four feminine archetypes of maturity and their accompanying eight "shadow" forms supposedly "returning" from? Haven't they been in the human psyche all along? Yes, indeed, they have been in the human psyche all along. Thus, when Whitmont refers to their supposed return, he is speaking figuratively.
Figuratively speaking, the four archetypes of maturity and their accompanying eight "shadow" forms have been distanced in the human psyche from ego-consciousness during the centuries of the print culture that emerged in our Western cultural history after the Gutenberg printing press emerged in Europe in the mid-1450s.
Thus, what Whitmont refers to as the return of the goddess in the human psyche involves the return of the four feminine archetypes of maturity and their eight accompanying "shadow" forms in drawing closer to interacting within the human psyche with ego-consciousness.
Now, the psychodynamic in stage (7) of the eight stages of consciousness that Neumann delineates in his book The Origins and History of Consciousness involves the "liberation of the ego from endogamous kinship libido" (in Ong's wording) - that is, the liberation of libido from being "married within" the psyche to the image of the mother (or mother-figure) and also the liberation of libido from being "married within" the psyche to the image of the father (or father-figure).
Now, the liberation of libido from being "married within" the person's psyche to the person's father (or father figure) facilitates the person's transition into stage (8) - and thus into learning how to access the optimal and positive forms of the four masculine archetypes in the person's psyche.
Now, as I have mentioned above, my infatuation with the beautiful body of young Lynda Carter in the fall of 2024 was accompanied by my ten-week experience of feeling mildly euphoric - which ended shortly before the presidential election on November 5, 2024. Subsequently, I have come to interpret my ten-week experience of feeling mildly euphoric as involving the liberation of my ego-consciousness from endogamous kinship libido - that is, the liberation of libido in my psyche from being "married within," figuratively speaking, to the image of my mother, on the one hand, and, on the other, to the image of my father. This double liberation of libido in my psyche from the images of my mother and father, respectively, freed up my inner access to the optimal forms of the four feminine archetypes of maturity, on the one hand, and, on the other, to the optimal forms of the four masculine archetypes of maturity.
The freeing up of libido in my psyche enabled me at long last, at the age of 80, to learn how to access the optimal and positive form of the masculine Lover archetype - after a lifetime of being locked into one or the other of the two bipolar "shadow" forms of the masculine Lover archetype in my psyche. I have discussed my new-found access to the optimal and positive form of the masculine Lover archetype in my psyche in my deeply personal OEN article "Some Personal Reflections About Porn" (dated January 2, 2025), mentioned above.
Now, Trump and his many American supporters today are misogynists. As a result of being misogynists, Trump and his many American supporters today, have not yet experienced stage (7) of the eight stages of consciousness that Neumann delineates in his book.
Also as a result of being misogynists, Trump and his many American supporters today, have not yet experienced what Whitmont refers to as the return of the goddess in their psyches.
Thus, Trump and his many American supporters still need to complete stage (6) before they are ready to make the transit in their psyches into stage (7) of the eight stages of consciousness that Neumann delineates in his book The Origins and History of Consciousness.
Now, the OEN founder Rob Kall is fond of the imagery of bottom-up versus top-down. Trump 2.0 represents the spirit of top-down rule. The imagery of bottom-up suggests that the effective opposition to Trump 2.0 must somehow emerge from the bottom up.
Unfortunately for the prospect of bottom-up resistance to Trump 2.0, Trump won the popular vote decisively in the presidential election on November 5, 2024. Thus far, I've not yet seen any significant buyer's remorse from our fellow Americans who voted for trump in 2024.
Also unfortunately, no Democrat has yet emerged to spearhead the bottom-up resistance to Trump 2.0.
More recently, Fareed Zakaria has editorialized to HBO host Bill Maher about cities and states run by Democrats: See "CNN's Zakaria: Democrat[ic] Cities and States Are Terribly Run. You Pay the Highest Taxes and Get Nothing for It" (dated March 3, 2025; posted at RealClearPolitics by Ian Schwartz).
Now, the present essay was written before President Trump delivered his bombastic State of the Union address to Congress on the evening of Tuesday, March 4, 2025. NYT columnist Maureen Dowd nicely captured the spirit of his bombastic address in her column titled "The State of Himself" in The New York Times (dated March 5, 2025). In it, Dowd says, "The thrust of Trump's speech was, of course, to glorify himself, to claim sanctification bestowed on him by God when he escaped assassination."
Now, the self-styled conservative NYT columnist Ross Douthat has penned an upbeat op-ed commentary about Trump's foreign policy titled "Trump and Vance Are Stripping Away Foreign Policy Illusions" (dated March 1, 2025) in The New York Times.
In it, Douthat says, among other things, "Trump doesn't speak diplomatically and never will" - which surely is true. Douthat also says, "And there is value in speaking more openly about uncomfortable realities." In addition, Douthat says that people "need to understand that the armistice that the Trump administration seems to want to negotiate with Russia may not look all that different from the endgame that would have developed under a Democratic president." Perhaps this is true. But a Democratic president would most likely have approached that endgame less bombastically. However, President Trump showed in his long State of the Union address to Congress on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, that he enjoys being bombastic - and, sadly, his many supporters appear to enjoy Trump's crude bombast.
Now, in yet another op-ed commentary in The New York Times, titled "Trump's Foreign Policy May Be Crude, But It's Realist" (dated March 7, 2025, editorial board member Farah Stockman operational defines and explains realism by referring to Thucydides' History of the Peloponnesian War. Thucydides recounts how ancient Athens "laid siege to the island of Melos" and the famous line "'The strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must.'" As Stockman recounts, "The men [of Melos] were slaughtered, the women and children were enslaved, and the island was colonized [by Athens]. If you think of them [the people of Melos] as heroes, you are a liberal internationalist, who believes that peace and security depend on just governments that abide by enlightened rules. If you think they were fools [to resist Athens], you are a realist."
OK, certain things that Trump had said and done do fit the model of realism. However, Stockman reports the political scientist Stephen Walt pointed out to her, "No true realist would threaten to annex Canada, Gaza and Greenland" - as the mercurial and idiosyncratic Trump has threatened.
Stockman ends her op-ed commentary about Trump's foreign policy by returning to the Peloponnesian War: "After Athens sacked Melos, word of its brutality spread. Its allies turned against it. Athens lost the war. Nobel ideas, it turns out, do matter."
However that may be, Stockman also says, "Today Russia and China have supersonic missiles that the U.S. military does not yet know how to counter effectively. China already has the ability to knock out U.S. satellites in space, destroying the GPS systems upon which the American military and our economy depend, and Russia is believed to be testing such weapons."
GPS = Global Positioning System. For a news story of related interest about GPS, see BBC science correspondent Pallab Ghosh's article "Planes are having their GPS hacked. Could new clocks keep them safe?" (dated March 3, 2024).
Now, Stockman next says, "Americans are not ready for a war with China. In fact, much of the industrial capacity needed to fight such a war is now in China, thanks to the naivete of liberal internationalists who decided to make China the world's factory. Even so, the United States and its allies are stronger than Team Russia and China IF THEY STAND TOGETHER. But a lot of Americans no longer want to fight with our allies for noble ideas overseas, especially after disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan" (my capitalization here).
Under the circumstances that Stockman here outlines, it strikes me that the United States today under the mercurial and idiosyncratic President Trump is exactly cultivating its allies for a potential war with Team Russia and China.
In still another op-ed-commentary in The New York Times titled "A Great Unraveling Is Underway" (dated March 13, 2025), regular NYT columnist Thomas L. Friedman quotes two passages from President John F. Kennedy's "Inaugural Address" on January 20, 1961: (1) "'Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.'"
(2) "'So, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man [sic].'"
Next, Friedman proceeds to construct two passages that sum up the spirit of Trump and the Trump administration: (1) "'Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that today's America will pay no price, bear no burden. Incur no hardship, and it will abandon any friends and cuddle up to any foes in order to assure the Trump administration's political survival - even if it means the abandonment of liberty wherever that be profitable or convenient for us. (2) "'So my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for President Trump. And my fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, ask how much you are ready to pay for America to defend your freedom from Russia or China.'"
In this way, NYT columnist Thomas L. Friedman sees President Trump, the misogynist confidence-man, today bringing to a close the 80-year period (virtually my entire lifetime) of American history and world history that began in 1945 after President Harry Truman dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki - which Friedman, figuratively speaking, refers to as "A Great Unraveling." No doubt the implied "Raveling" or weaving of that American world order took time and effort on the part of many American presidents since President Truman.
Because I see President Trump as a confidence-man, I want to acknowledge here that the confidence-man is part of our American cultural heritage. The famous American novelist Herman Melville (1819-1891 wrote an intriguing novel titled The Confidence-Man: His Masquerade (1857). For a relevant scholarly study, see Thomas D. Zlatic's "Faith in Pretext: An Ongian Context for The Confidence-Man" (2012). The fact that the confidence-man is a well-established part of our American cultural heritage contributed to the confidence-man Donald Trump's success in the 2016 and the 2024 presidential elections.
In any event, NYT columnist Thomas L. Friedman bluntly says, "I would call Trump's foreign policy philosophy not 'containment' or 'engagement,' but 'smash and grab.' Trump aspires to be a geopolitical shoplifter. He wants to stuff his pockets with Greenland, Panama, Canada, and Gaza - just grab them off the shelves, without paying - and then run back to his American safe house. Our postwar allies have never seen this America before."
Now, the self-styled conservative NYT columnist David Brooks weighed in with an ominous column about President trump's foreign policy thus far titled "It Isn't Just Trump. America's Whole Reputation Is Shot" (dated March 14, 2025). In it, David Brooks says that there is "the truth that Trump will never understand - that when you turn America into a vast extortion machine, you will get some short-term wins as weaker powers bend to your gangsterism, but you will burn the relationships, at home and abroad, that are actually the source of America's long-term might."
In conclusion, of course, you are free to disagree with me and with the various positions that I have taken throughout the course of the present article:
(1) about Trump's topsy-turvy foreign policy;
(2) about the tragic anti-body attitude in our American Christian churches and in our Western cultural history;
(3) about moms initiating their sons into having consensual sex as a way for caring moms to counter our anti-body heritage;
(4) about dads initiating their daughters into having consensual sex as a way for caring dads to counter our anti-body heritage;
(5) about the retired devout Christian pornstar Mandy Flores as an exemplary contemporary American woman;
(4) about the desirability of having American girls and women of all ages consider Mandy Flores to be an exemplary American woman;
(5) about the desirability of American young boys and men of all ages viewing Mandy Flores' delightful mom-son porn videos that are available free on the internet as one way for them to counter the tragic anti-body heritage in their psyches;
(6) about the desirability of more people today in our secondary oral culture cultivating the use of what Jung refers to as fantasy thinking involving images and associative thinking (as I myself have exemplified throughout the present essay by using graphic language and images regularly and also by engaging in associative thinking regularly in this wide-ranging essay - ranging from discussing Trump's foreign policy in some detail to discussing Mandy Flores' camera-ready body in some detail).
As I say, I have stated some undoubtedly controversial points in this essay, and, as I say, you are free to disagree with me about certain points in the present essay as you see fit to do so.
Finally, I want to thank Mandy Flores for being such an inspiring muse for me as I wrote this essay, and I also want to thank Mandy Flores for spectacularly showing off the spectacular beauty of her body in her many delightful mom-son porn videos that are available free on the internet. Her seductive performances as the mom in the fantasy skits in her delightful mom-son porn videos have been a great blessing for me over the years as I watched her perform in those delightful mom-son fantasy skits. P.S. On Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025, I did an internet search for Mandy Flores. I was shocked to see an obituary notice "In Memory of Mandy Flores" at the Wonder Club website: derclub.com/obituaries/view_obit.php?u=10921
The obituary notice does not include the exact date on which Mandy Flores passed, or her exact age at the time of her death,, or any specific cause of her death.
But the text does say the following about Mandy Flores:
"Mandy Flores truly was a beautiful person; we've never seen a person of whose beauty, outer and inner, could compare to hers. Her heart and her spirit were stronger than steel. She gave herself freely and without fear in every one of her relationships, regardless of how many times she'd been hurt by people. She was innocent and thoughtful and honest and real. She was never quick to judge -- but always quick to forgive and trust. She was funny and sweet and strong and smart, and she loved to laugh. Her infectious laugh was always there and remains still in our minds. Above all, Mandy Flores gave love in her life and in doing so, changed people. She is so very missed. We will love, honor, and remember her forever. Dearest Mandy Flores, you are always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. We love you."
In addition to the text, the first page of the obituary notice "In Memory of Mandy Flores" prominently features a memorable nude photo of Mandy Flores that will help everybody remember her big (39") boobs and her eye-catching big nipples and her clean-shaven p*ssy.
I own two copies of the same nude photo of Mandy Flores, and i have briefly described each of them in the above essay. One is 16X24, and the other is 8X12. I have framed both of them, and I display both of them in my home office. I now plan to frame the obituary notice that has the same nude photo of Mandy Flores -- and also display it in my home office.
May Mandy Flores rest in peace.
