He's a BULLDOG. John Edwards would be a man on a mission.
He's already a tenacious, extremely effective defender of the middle-class and the poor. Like Barack Obama, he'll defend the worker, the employee, the union member, the healthcare recipient. He would be an ideal person to negotiate labor law issues and defend the rights of the average American.
In an Obama administration, one that is beholden to thousands of small donors giving 25 dollars whenever possible, one that is literally built to represent the electorate as opposed to lobbyists, Edwards would be Obama's ideal "change agent" on the legal front. He'd make companies and institutions think twice (or three times) before attempting to circumvent their responsibility to the American people.
His experience in Washington, his well thought out ideas and plans to make America what it is at it's heart (a place where personal freedoms are a right, NOT a privilege of the fortunate), a legal representative that will lead us away from "alleged" secret prisons make him the ideal choice for United States Attorney General in 2009.
The choice of John Edwards as Attorney General would further illuminate the many differences separating Obama's America from the Bush-McCain version.
