Somewhere in an alley
A boy grows cold and hard;
He sprays a crowd with bullets
'Cause he thinks it pleases God.
They came in boats to murder,
25 men strong;
They had planned this act of horror
In a place they don't belong.
Somewhere an evil man
With an old and tattered book
Praises the almighty
But he has a tortured look.
He sings the songs of hatred
And he teaches of the gun;
He molds the young and hopeless
On how to shoot and run.
Somewhere a couple of pilgrims
On a meditation tour
Were shot to death on Friday
And no one knows what for.
