Nicholas Carr may well be the most brilliant critic of digital technology living (for bio click here). He made history with his 2008 "Atlantic Monthly" piece "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" (click here for article), which he fleshed out into an extraordinary book called "The Shallows: What the Internet is Doing to Our Brains". The book was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and has been translated into 16 languages (most of the "The Shallows..." is available free online at, ironically, Google Books: click here for the book, or click here for a wonderful 4 minute animated video summarizing "The Shallows...").
