Narrow focus
diffuse awareness
Objective attention subject object relationship
Immersed attention-- become the object

This is not something that is necessarily easy to do and some people don't do it at all.
What percentage of the population use these kinds of attention?
very few use diffuse awareness or immersed attention.
What are the advantages of this? Why would someone want to do this? How is this of benefit to them?
Narrow focus is associated with fight or flight-- like fear.
Is this a modern human phenomenon-- would it be the same for indigenous tribal people in Papua New Guinea or the Amazon?
It seems that our culture, our technologies have moved us towards m ore narrowed focus.
Narrow focus can be very valuable in some ways.
