Don't miss this article  or this one, if you want to really know what is necessary for LEARNING to take place. So-called 'experts' who are clueless about LEARNING want to reinstate the standardized testing prescribed by the (NCLB) and the (ESSA) acts. Ignoring the impossibility of collecting valid & reliable data the impracticality of administering the tests when some students are learning online & others attending in-person classrooms,  they suggest that the new education sec'y, can merely require the tests!  In a profound article, the executive director of the N. J. Principals and Supervisors Association, Patricia Wright explains the work of teachers in words that will perhaps help the public grasp why Miguel Cardona should  grant states waivers to skip the failing standardized testing!  .
