In 1990, Congress demanded an audit of the Pentagon. Of course, this should have been routine and ongoing every year. But the Defense Dept dragged the procedure out for 28 years. Now the audit is complete and the announcement is only that there is a discrepancy. How big? They're not saying. But a study by University of Michigan last year said $21 Trillion. To put this in scale, the amount of money the Pentagon can't account for is about 3 times it's legitimate, authorized budget for the last 10 years.
