Rob: And what's the website?
BR: It's holacracy.org and it's spelled with an A so holacracy.org
Rob: I should mention you use a a software program, Glassfrog. Talk about that and give it away free to smaller organizations right?
BR: Yep and in fact I'm pleased to say we're about shift our pricing model and there will now be a free version for any size organization and then a paid version for companies that want some extra features and all that.
Rob: Cool, and what does the software do?
BR: It basically holds the structure of a company and supports their governance process that holacracy adds. It's meant to be used hand in hand when the company is adopting holacracy's methods and processes. And it just makes it all easier. I can log in and see exactly what anyone in my organization is accountable for, what authority they have, all transparently shown before me so it gives you an unprecedented view into the inner structure and workings of the company.
Rob: I've got to tell you I was browsing through it, Tara contacted me and in her signature in her e-mail it has a link to her roles which goes to Glassfrog and it showed her different roles. It's fascinating powerful software, it's really cool. I saw that there were some unique kinds of roles that you don't normally see like good neighbor, zen master, tribal custodian.
BR: Yes it's very common in holacracy to see lots of important roles for specific functions that would easily get ignored or missed in a typical job description. Holacracy supports you calling them out and creating really interesting roles.
