A Mental Contagion?

How tragically convenient!

The average person sees 10,000 adverts a day, which is a two-fold increase from 2007, for instance; and marketing and advertising executives know that they are seriously affecting a person's subconscious mind creating files in various directories, and altering 'the free will' of people.

Politicians, think tanks, and their focus groups do the same thing, and now even create loquacious lies, or their set of alternative facts, and gaslight the public as our general media acquiesces and only reports what was said; and in addition to this, the socialization process is another place where we are infected with many various mental contagions whereby middle age most of us resemble psychological furniture from the Roman, Medieval, Puritan, or Victorian eras or some other era entirely.

In an enlightened society, if we can muster any American idealism that might still be left, The Surgeon General would recognize the collective consciousness of America as a palpable field of intelligence and energy; and would state how unhealthy, fixed in its perceptions, highly conditioned, incompetent, and quite frankly, 'dumbed down' it has become; and if Vice Admiral Vivek Murthy were uniquely brave, he would state that as a result of this mass media onslaught, we are no longer scientifically literate and able to distinguish demagoguery from fact and wishful thinking from policies that might actually work in the 21st century. And if we were truly humane, we would recognize both individual and collective consciousness as tangible fields governed by their own memes, ideologies, and paradigms; and we would roll up our sleeves and work to collectively de-condition human consciousness and free, and expand it so that it eventually becomes much more intelligent, creative, and much more powerful throwing off the ancient yokes of the past.
