The good thing about that material is it could convert 80 percent of the applied electrical energy to mechanical energy. One of the Princeton scientists clarified since there's not a great deal of energy a person can make by simply walking or breathing, it was necessary to use a type of material that would convert as much of the available energy as possible.

Scientists Are Trying to Make the New Rubber Commercially Available

Information is still very limited about this new stretchable rubber, but scientists are working hard to come up with feasible ways to make it readily available and able to be widely used. Given what we do know about how different this technology seems, though, there's still plenty to be excited about.
