Do we have a corollary here? or a cosmic coincidence? I do think so.

We look at some Impressionists in our workshops. We're viewing not only their horoscopes, but the events of their time: collaborations, marriages, adventures and even wars. We have found fascinating connections with special events and phases in their lives with celestial movements in the sky. Zeitgeist is a German word that speaks of the spirit of the times. The astrologer notes the connections. This goes way beyond generalities and speculations, but into specific connections with life and cultural events which are reflected in the heavens.

MAB: can you give a specific example?

SP: In the charts of Auguste Renoir and Claude Monet, for example, we find they, and other Impressionists, had astrological indicators of artists who would be prone to be pioneers, who did not always follow public conformity. They were independent, even artistic rebels, and that appeared in their horoscopes.

In our workshop we share the chart of Monet's attempted suicide. We can do that, for we have the date. Psychologically one could ask, what was going through his consciousness, his feelings, to attempt such a thing. Astrologically we can find the amazing correlates to his chart on that very day, and also the elements (or planetary aspects) that reversed his impulses and changed his mind. Fascinating.

One last thing. I consider myself somewhat of a mystic too. Periodically I will get images and inspirations. I can perceive in my mind's eye an artist who ventures out into a natural setting, sets up her easel and addresses how the rays of light differentiates within layers of leaves, and the grand old tree before her glows in glory. Ah, splendid.

Perhaps we are reflections of the divine.

MAB: Inspiring. Thank you for visiting!

SP: It is great being here, and thanks for the ginger cookies.

MAB: Lets share the link to our upcoming workshop, shall we?

SP: Indeed!
