*Grayson was defeated in his bid for reelection to his post by Allison Lundergan Grimes, who then ran against Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2016 and lost, but the match was high profile and underhanded tricks by the McConnell campaign revealed, including robocalling informing Democratic voters that Election Day for them had been postponed until Wednesday. In other words, Ms. Grimes was considered a threat to McConnell. Perhaps she will run against him again in four years.
