I have a feeling that this new nasty technological abuse development will get worse before it gets better, and that it will take some time before the law catches up with it and ways to protect victims. Perhaps one way to deal with it is for the companies manufacturing the devices and the companies providing the smartphone Apps to get involved in some proactive way, perhaps requiring that two people authorize changes to passwords and user IDs. And hopefully, articles like this one will make more people aware of their vulnerability to these technologies, so they will be sure to get access to the Apps and passwords.
