But what other good things have the Trump era given us? Well, we could ask what comedian Randy Rainbow's career would have been without Donald Trump. It probably would not have been as spectacular, at least not as quickly. His meteoric rise and Emmy nomination through Trump satire reminds us of David Letterman's retirement regret that he had left too soon, after the election of such a viable comedic foil in the form of Donald Trump.
In all seriousness, Trump has given us the realization that there are serious problems in our nation that need to be addressed. Perhaps the Trump era will be remembered in two ways. First, it will surely be remembered for its corruption, chaos, and incompetence. But if we are fortunate, it could also be remembered as the fuse that ignited desperately needed change and growth in our nation.
