Your security system or lack of system, your security legacy, failed us again this Christmas, Mr. Cheney. Your security system will continue to fail us on a regular basis unless we have immediate and massive agency, industry and policy reforms and overhaul. An overhaul necessary due to your overwhelming failure to secure our nation during your eight years of full Republican control and your overwhelming success at creating new terrorists. Yes, Mr. Cheney, this includes industry compliance with national standards set by government not industry and includes a goodly share of the cost to industry for same and will include a cost to us as well. It also means better cooperation from Saudi Arabia, otherwise known as 'the Vatican of Terrorism', including their cooperation with the FBI. Your system fails us now because you, sirs, failed us then.
Until currently elected Republicans drop their well worn mendacity of nope in order to allow the Obama administration to timely confirm not only a new TSA Chief but other key security nominees as well, no major changes or necessary adjustments in our national security measures will occur and we will continue to operate under the same security standards set into place during the Bush and Cheney administration. How much more responsibility for our national security failures does the GOP want to claim? How willing are Republicans when it comes to actually playing national security hardball, especially when playing ball for real means saying yes?
