Reinhold Niebuhr.
The Republicans aren't alone, Palast responded. In California in 2016, under the diligent
tutelage of its Democratic SoS Alex Padilla, 8.6 million votes were cast in the primary but only 7.3 million
were counted. 750,000 voters were shunted to provisional ballots. Padilla had no answers
to Palast's query of what happened to 1.3 million votes. Clinton won by a small margin
and Bernie was effectively eliminated.
It was ultimately all about money, not ballots.
Palast turned to Chomsky and asked him why he called his book "scary."
Chomsky answered that it was the truth that people must be marginalized.
He found Palast's chapter about the California primary, "California Reamin',"
the most interesting. A Bernie victory would have made Democrats happy. The
New York Times writes that investors are getting nervous about Election 2020. Stealing
votes is the only way they have to destroy Democrats.
Said Palast, Election 2018 in Georgia was about the whole country, a test-drive for
Election 2020. According to the Election Assistance Commission, 16.7 million had
