Max rolls over on his right, the third bullet appears to only hit the dirt. As max rolls further over it looks like the fourth bullet hits him possibly in his head and through his body abdominal gut area also.

Max in a lot of pain and still he tries to stand up just this one last time but his left front paw he holds upward [due to bullet No.2]. He then rolls forward towards the corner curb on to the street: He first falls to his right then tumbles leftward head over heels towards the street.

This is the day when love died:   Max now falling into the street ends on his left side head facing the corner curb, then his back legs are kicking or convulsing as he rolls partly to his right, blood runs out his mouth onto the street but no where else that I can see.

At some point life passes the point of no return.

It only took an agonizing two seconds or less to discharge the four bullets; only number three might have missed him. The officer had shot once, then a second; a slight pause before shooting the remaining two in quick succession. The time from the Max window incident to his dying in the street was only 33 seconds.

While police supposedly work for the citizens of their community, the truth, I believe, these days is that they are a paramilitary force bought and paid for by monied interests in the form of corporations and the various levels of the government. The people of this country come last in the pecking order if in fact they even matter at all. Certainly their pets do not.

One can debate the merits of right and wrong, still nothing here is right. His Master, Leon Rosby has a previous lawsuit against the local [Hawthorn California] Police for breaking some of his ribs and he was invading a potentially dangerous crime scene where he was concerned about any civil rights violations. I know if I saw the police were involved in something I would stay out of their way. If you want to protect the rights of others, an attorney once told me, it is in the court before a judge that you have rights, not with the police. Leon's loud car music and invading presence with his dog, leashed, and with his videophone was posing a potential danger with suspects in the nearby house about to come through the front door. Bullets could fly.

This is the video I saw over and over many times:

Everyone else has stayed across the street and some took videos including this one I viewed in slow motion, but they did it from a safer, less imposing, distance. Max's master may have citizen rights but when it endangers others, limits are drawn. A loud car radio, yelling at police during a delicate situation, and being overly intrusive into a crime scene is overly provocative.

Generally what the police seem to do is they do not regard their actions as right or wrong but state that it is within their "policy' as if that somehow makes it OK.

Max lays there dead. The police temporarily remove the handcuffs from Max's Master so he can place Max's lifeless body in the trunk of his car. On the local talk radio police and citizens suggest the alternative of tasers [still life threatening on some animals and many people, too], batons and tranquilizer darts. However the simplest thing might just have been to uncuff Max's master while Max was still alive and have him get Max back in the car and raise the windows some. Animal control could have picked up an alive Max from the car in a short while.
