But, we have been in the dark ages for several thousand years now. Ours has been what many spiritual people call the Kali Yuga or Dark Age. This dark age is marked by our being overrun by the egotistical minds inherent within ourselves, which manifests itself globally in the form corporations and governments who wish to suppress, murder and deny what is natural. What is true in the individual manifests in what is true of civilization. Which needs to change? Is this truly an "either-or" question?
Change ultimately begins in us, not the system of government or the corporation. When we change, life changes. Our awareness of a living universe must expand. In our rational egotistical minds, we have created a planet of death. The death inherent in endless free ways, box stores and polluted air mirrors our egotistical mechanical minds.
Civilization, which manifests according to our egocentric mindset, is destroying the planet. Like a cancerous tumor, it is destroying the very body that maintains its life. Cancer is labeled when normal cells grow abnormally, to the point that it destroys the body. When the body dies, so does the cancer.
Gaze around you at the box stores and freeways. Listen to the news, watch the anorexic "Barbie Dolls" and glamorous "Kens" indoctrinate the corporate interests into the fertile minds of those that are vulnerable to brain washing.
What if one just needs to begin to realize they are being brainwashed? Is this our new objective? To awaken ourselves and each other. Ah, but don't get self-righteous and go out to tell your Sister to awaken. Awaken yourself, the world will awaken with you.
Know who you are by Nature. What is natural is what is spiritual. Nature means the Self. Nature IS the Hebrew Yahweh, I AM or the Hindu Brahmin, the Self. Denial of Nature is denial of the Self. Who is it manifesting as Jane, Joe, Burl, Cynthia, Meryl Ann, Torch, Rob Kall, Tai and Merry? None other than Nature, the Self, I AM.
Dare you awaken to who you are?
" Glory, Glory the Lord Thy God is one!" the Bible cries. This means with you, me and everything else. "Of what use, Gabriel, thy message to Marie less you provide the message to me!" a mystic cries. "And if that birth does not pertain to me," Meister Eckhart replies, "then what avails it?"
To be virgin in Christian mysticism is to be empty of conditioning. As the Tao Te Ching says in support, "Be newborn, be free of yourself." This is being virgin. How many times in how many places do we need to hear the same song being sung?
Yes, we are at the end of the Kali Yuga, the Dark Age according to the astrologers. Isn't it time that we acknowledge this and open our minds to the new dawning? Even if you don't understand the interconnectedness of all, then you can still open your mind to what is dawning in you.
That dawning is nothing less than an awakening to the Self, which is your Nature. And, what is Truth if not Nature?
