  OBAMA IS PITCHING A RUSE!

The essence of what Obama was saying on television--what he told the gathered Congressional Hispanic Caucus is that, his job bill along with temporary payroll tax cuts will benefit 250,000 Latino owned businesses here in the United States and 25 million Latino individuals also living here in the United States.

Obama got great applause from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus for the particular line.

He said these Latino businesses would use their payroll tax cuts savings to reinvest in their businesses, giving them the means to grow thereby; giving them a growing tool that would allow them to hire more people, who, in turn, would trickle down their money (my words but his basic assumption) into this sagging economy.

Of course, these small Latino businesses would look forward to the opportunity to keep more of the money they garner from their businesses into their own pockets.

It seems that honest business owners are so far and so few in between these days.

So, in a world which seems to have forgotten all about brotherly love, the and responsibility to one's country--Obama's pitch would resound in the hearts of those Hispanics gathered at that award dinner.

The drift clinging on to those Hispanic caucus members and their guests of what Obama said is that because those newly 25 million employed Latinos would need housing, food, clothing, transportation, and so forth and so on, they would go out and spend their money, like good soldiers that they are, on all of the items needed for a good livelihood in this country.

25 million newly employed Latinos working in the United States and 250,000 Latino small businesses   now seemingly welcomed into the United States by Obama's job bill and by a sagging economy that apparently now seems to need their business and their labor force even when they have been the very ones scapegoated by Newt Gingrich, by Governor   Jan Brewer   of Arizona and by others to be the very cause and effect of this downturned economy.

It seems that trickle-down-poop comes down in many ways--not just in ," the rich and wealthy will spread their money," myth. It also comes down in the myths created by the rich and wealthy to excuse themselves--to blame others for the part they themselves play in the running down of an economy.

Latinos will provide a strengthening arm to the economy of this country, provided that they have not been targeted by the anti-immigration sentiments now overflowing the country. This, according to Obama who has also done next to nothing to put a stop to all this anti-immigration frenzy in places like Arizona, New Mexico, and now Alabama and to see to it that Latinos, the current scapegoats   in a country which needs scapegoats galore, are treated fairly under fair Immigration Laws.

I have the feeling that Latinos are, just as much as I have a feelings that blacks are too, a ruse in the Jobs Chapter of Obama's re-election Playbook.

His theatrics sound like those of a child come crying home, "I did bad Mommy. I did bad. I promise I won't do it anymore..." only to go out and do it all over again. Obama has had two years to show just where his allegiances are. He has shown us all very loud and clear just where they are. He has given no sign or reason for anyone to believe that he intends to change course now midstream.

Using words pulled out of a campaign grab bag, Obama the pragmatist used somewhat similar words   to those he used during the Congressional Black Caucus to target the hearts and minds of the Latinos gathered at the Congressional Hispanic gala awards, urging them to lift up their voices--t o make their voices heard by their Congress member and if their Congress member has already heard their voices, then to make them be heard by someone else's Congress member--he said.

He urged them in this way to work for him and his jobs bill--much as he'd urged the Congressional Black Caucus to put on their marching shoes, work for him and ask Congress on his behalf, to pass his jobs bill.

Of course, with Latinos being deported back to their countries of origin right and left, I am not sure that there will be the 25 million Latinos that Obama refers to; to work, earn a salary, spill their green or silver back into the economy--enough to make the desperate dent he is so, he says, looking for.
