In addition, I have to ask, what kinds of businesses are these Latino small businesses (250,000 of them) referred to by Obama, that a payroll tax cut would give them enough to reinvest in their businesses, pay a living wage to their current or added workers, and remain afloat in an economy where almost every small business is tanking down and so many people are losing their jobs.
Are these trades jobs, unskilled labor jobs, service jobs?
These small businesses, Latino or not, pay so little. People hardly can survive in any of these jobs.
Would these be blue-collar jobs, or would they be white-collar jobs that could afford to pay a little- better salary?
Would any of these jobs allow employees to make a living? Do they do so now? Would they also include health benefits?
Trickle down does not work out. Latinos who are hard hit should know better--they should also know better than to believe a man who spews out lots of promises but when push comes to shove does little or nothing to come through with his promises.
Latinos should also know that it does not matter what the Bushes and their followers say or believe in. And that in the Bushes case, had it not been for Herbert Walker who trickled down some of his power and fortune to his favorite son-in-law Prescott Bush " the Bushes might not have become the powerful elite that they want to hold themselves to be.
It does not matter either what Obama says or believes in.
It does not matter what the Bushes' disciples, people like John Boehner, Marco Rubio and others swear by, or that they believe in this no taxes-trickledown trickstery. They seem not to have noticed that their salaries, their health insurances, are all being paid for with our tax dollars.
One could make the case that our tax dollars are a good source for trickle-up to the power grab bag of politicians. Not down.
What matters is that if you really take a look at our country and our economy these days, you will find that trickle down has created a poop party on the poorest of our country along with creating a good many more poor than there were before all this nonsense about trickle down got a strong hold on our economy.
Obama's job bill is not talking about creating any government jobs. He is not talking about creating any kind of jobs that will give any kind of security to anyone who needs job security.
It as a ruse to give the rich, the wealthy, and the corporations even more tax breaks--those tax breaks that John Boehner and his bandits keep crying for.
Obama is using the minority communities as his pivoting point to give Boehner what he wants.
Obama is talking about giving tax breaks to privately owned big businesses. They are the ones who will benefit from such a tax break.
This talk about how this bill could help small owned business (read minorities owned businesses) and Latinos in this country is a ruse to cover up the real intended beneficiaries of the bill: The corporations.
