** Unfortunately, there is some breaking news that if confirmed proves that rule of law is indeed being compromised by the dictatorial approach of the new administration. Although we should still be able to send a comment to Mr. Owen via email, when one goes to the federal register to "submit online" it does not work. Furthermore, at one place when searching through the government forms about the EIS on regulations.com, there is a box saying that "comments are not accepted" as can be seen via this screenshot. Add to this the escalation of violence against the few remaining water protectors at Standing Rock and the violent, extremely disrespectful, inciting language of the police officers still barricaded the public access to Mandan that can be heard on this recording, and the "Trumpian" phenomenon indeed seems to be moving further and further away for the rule of law and human decency.
