Unfortunately, as we read this, there are many uninsured people most likely in this financial crisis, suffering illness or life threatening conditions including young children. These are situations everybody knows about but nothing is being done. Sometimes we don't need to go beyond US shores but turn the corner street or just by our doorsteps. Government is everybody and nobody.  What should the government do?

Should Tax dollars be used for War rather than Healthcare (the right priority)?

This article is not about "distributing wealth" or socialism as some might want to call it. Although I think those who talk about socialism have no clue what it is about. I lived in 17 different countries. I've seen and experienced different systems.  I think America is a great nation, if not THE greatest nation I never lived in. There is nothing wrong finding a solution that will protect All American people. We can still keep private insurance while implementing an effective and affordable healthcare system, which may be similar to those already used by other industrialized countries. It doesn't have to be exactly the same system but there is no need to reinvent the wheel either.

Implementing an Industrialized Healthcare System with US specificity

Most importantly, America needs to CHANGE mindsets trying not to always think that "faster and quicker treatment" is better. We should design a system able to deal with both short and long term matters, a system which prevents diseases rather than maintaining them.  Health problems can be prevented with some goodwill from all Stakeholders.

Finally, as for Education, UHC is the right priority and Government responsibility to ensure future generations and a healthy population necessary for the nation to compete in the global economy.

I believe in "the unknown gives one the opportunity to grow" and, that "Attitude determines Altitude". There is no limitation but in one's own mind. My hero's leaders are Abraham Lincoln (the most influential American to my opinion), John F. (more...)
