“His policies are radical” screeches the woman who knows as much about economics as she does about foreign policy. By the way, please could someone provide Palin with a dictionary so she can look up the word radical before throwing it around as a slur - a maverick is a radical by definition, which undercuts her attacks somewhat if she is calling her teammate the same thing. But I can see why the GOP see helping the middle-class as something ‘radical’, considering it’s not something which particularly concerns them, especially when they have large corporations and interest groups to pander to.
And are McCain and Palin both aware that her husband’s and her own involvement and support for the Alaskan secessionist group AIP, makes them radicals? Extremists if you like. Apparently not - it seems McCain turns a blind eye to such incriminating and non-patriotic evidence in his desperate pursuit of what he sees as his entitlement; and Palin appears to be blissfully unaware of her shortcomings, her ambition belying any real aptitude in her misguided quest. Irresponsible choice of VP doesn’t cover it.
An additional question for McCain, should the unthinkable happen; Whatwith Todd Palin’s penchant for hanging around state offices pestering officials to sack relatives he and his wife have fallen out with, would a separate office be provided for him so that he can continue to carry out this momentous responsibility in peace? Forget looking after five children at home, they can look after themselves, this busy man clearly needs his own space - “Todd Palin spent about 50 percent of his time in the governor's office, making phone calls, participating in meetings or just hanging out”, said Gary Wheeler, a member of Gov. Palin's security detail. He sounds like a man who could do with some hobbies.
Also with Palin’s worrying habit of hiring unqualified family members and school friends to Alaskan state positions, does this mean we could see Joe The Plumber as Secretary of The Treasury, great-aunt Peggie-Sue as Secretary of Health, Brittney The Cheerleader as Secretary of Defense and Bob The Builder as Secretary Of State? Considering the bar has been set so low with the VP ticket, these are all valid questions.
“Palin is just what we need” said McCain in Ohio, “We’re going to clean up Washington together”. Sounds like a plan John....but mind the gutter when you’re both sweeping, you wouldn’t want to slip into all that muck...oh, too late...I see you were already in it.
He continued “Palin has the credentials, and the vision, and the dynamism and the strength to do that.” Finally....some straight talk we can agree with.
