As Lois and I plant row after row of these incredibly fascinating seeds I wonder to myself if I'm not a seed too.
To realize my potential I too must "die" and shed myself of hate, fear, selfishness, etc. before I can achieve new life--as a seed becomes a new beautiful flower.
I take my rake and carefully cover the seed and will patiently wait to see what emerges.
John 12:24 (NIV) says:
Jesus replied...'I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and
dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man
who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep
it for eternal life...'
