Anyone reading this might want to check out the Congressional Record to see which Democrats voted for HR 6166 as it was being ramrodded through the Legislature by the White House.
In yet another of his epistles to sanctify the King and propitiate George's every whim, House Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-Ill) again helped widen the divide in our Nation with these pearls: That the Democrats who voted against the measure "...voted today in favor of more rights for terrorists.
"So the same terrorists who plan to harm innocent Americans and their freedom worldwide would be coddled, if we followed the Democrat plan."
Besides, how would a president know the precise status of a given interrogation? Would he actually go to the site and sit in on the operation of information extraction?
"Speaker Hastert's false and inflammatory rhetoric is yet another desperate attempt to mislead the American people and provoke fear," stated Ms. Crider. She added that Democrats are committed to catching and punishing those who commit acts of terror against Americans.
As Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio remarked, "This bill is everything we don't believe in."
Then, as dictated by Herr Oberst Karl Rove through his vassals the King and Dark Lord the Dick Cheney, the Senate version (S 3930) was passed by a 65-34 vote on Thursday, September 28, 2006. (Remember that date - it will go down in history as the day the United States of America officially became a terrorist state.)
It will undoubtedly be signed into law by His Excellency before anyone can think the nuts and bolts through. Higher Authority help us all.
The sum and substance of these bills make rushing them through the Legislative Branch as King George is doing more wrong than their very essence and existence. The issues at hand are not simply "a bridge to nowhere" or "a gargantuan pig farm along a causeway."
These are serious questions with literally earth-shattering consequences. The results of what have transpired in these Congressional votes will continue to have serious repercussions upon our military for decades, not to mention generations of our National honor and image.
The measure of what our little dictator has insisted our elected officials engage in - namely, treason - cannot be effectively gauged on any scale.
These bills should never have come up in the first place. However, once they had arisen the debate over their content should have been long, studied, and deep.
The hue and cry concerning these two bills should have raised the dome completely off the Capitol Rotunda; instead of kowtowing to His Excellency, the discussion should have turned to the Regime's incompetence and illegalities.
This is insanity of a global magnitude, and most of our Legislative Branch is allowing the King to run amok.
