I can see the government taking the words ‘illegal enemy combatant’ and applying it to anyone who declares to be militia –a militia being an armed group of people willing to fight for a selective cause.
The American government is slow to act, that is true, but when they do act, they act with absolute certainty and purpose. They have finally figured out that to have a peaceful society, the branches of this society have to be trimmed, sometimes to the very root, and they will become the pruning shears.
