And the many spirals in our lives interact with each other and with other people's spirals. It's no wonder that a death reverberates in so many ways. The threads that stop are tied in so many ways to all the other spirals that have been weaving all along, that keep on weaving.
And life is just one surface which the threads manifest.
But here we are, so let's make the most of it. Invest our time in doing things that plant the seeds, theat prepare the soil, create the fabric, energize the atmosphere so the waves which come into being, which are born, are reverberating with energies that are healing and healthy, loving and just, humane and kind.
Perhaps all very optimistic, positive thinking risks sounding pollyanish. Do it anyway. Be suspicious that your pollyana radar is really fear of hope, creeping cynicism-- learned or infected.
Tomorrow, we'll wake up, the day after the funeral. We've shoveled the dirt into the grave, covered the casket, and we start to move on. We think a bit more of our departed loved one than we did the day before her death. We know a lot better how she touched us and our loved ones. And we go out into the world, hopefully thinking about how we are touching the world, how we, as separate beings, are using our opportunity to manifest god in this world we live in.
