However, with the growing public awareness of the Palestinian call
for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel until it
respects international law and Palestinian rights, including the call by Palestinian organisations
for people of conscience to reject diamonds processed in Israel, the
spotlight of public contempt is likely to focus more closely on the
global jewelry industry and its complicity in facilitating the trade
in Israeli blood diamonds.
