Free speech happens as you make it happen. It should happen for everyone everywhere all the time and not as a thing that erupts violently once in a blue moon when the quiet victim routine gets overpowering. And everyone everywhere must make it happen as a regular part of human culture and human institutions. We must all together "OCCUPY" the right of free speech on a routine basis as a duty of citizenship not only of a country but also as citizens of the world. That occupation of our rights and duties should happen as we become vital members of our own communities in all the towns and cities and neighborhoods across this and every land.
Speak Your Freedom and Let it Ring
That freedom that my heart and mind are heir to
Can not by any man be taken
Exercising it, it grows
Without exercise it will weaken
When we let our schools tell our young what to think
And never to own their own critical thought
Never to question how to think and judge for themselves
Then the young do not know for what purpose their lives and minds are wrought
Then when adults they become slaves in deed
