No doubt teaching the value of morals, fairness, critical thinking, and equitable relationships needs to occur not just in schools, but primarily in the family - in the process of child rearing. A healthy family is able to nurture the cultivation of conscience and the commitment to seeing all others as valuable: the capacity to relate to other beings as "Thou", rather than "It". Mature parents create a fertile field for the growth of children on their way to maturity. The simple fact is that Donald Trump is unable and/or unwilling to accept responsibility for the devastation he has already set in motion, as well the predictable perils which are likely to occur during the rest of his term without a radical change of course. Trump and his supporters' tenacity raise questions about what occurred in their families of origin.
