My last article told the story of a sweet little old widow named Esther. Esther was a civil service worker who saved large sums of money. That money was stolen through documented bank fraud by a man who viciously abused Esther and the other women in her family. Money had to be donated for the funeral. The banks and the thief got rich. Esther still doesn't have a headstone.
Where is Gloria Allred? She has graduated from the woman's world into the top 1%. Guess she has a short memory. I've seen her on TV grandstanding against OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson and Tiger Woods. She can ignore the Esthers, Ruths and Deborahs of the world. These women have provable cases. Their abusers have deep pockets waiting for lawsuits that never come. The cases of Deborah and Ruth involved sex, attempted murder, possibly murder itself, national politics, movie stars, thefts of large sums of money and other elements that are a dream come true for a legitimate attorney or movie producer interested in high profile cases. Where are the attorneys who pretend to do pro bono work? Gloria should take note of Deborah's story. Deborah fell from the top 1% to the bottom. Will someone catch Gloria if she falls? Is Gloria following the example of Clarence Thomas in forgetting her roots?
The Killing of the Elderly
The national scene is also toast. It is true that Obamacare has death panels for the elderly. Walk into a hospital with an elderly patient and count how many times that patient is presented with the option of letting the hospital staff commit murder. Double check all the forms so they don't slip that one in.
They hit families with a claim that the elderly are better off dead. I have a friend who remembers her mother being called every day by a hospital seeking permission to kill the aunt. The aunt had as much chance of fully recovering as not. Killing her would end the speculation and treatment.
Who has the right to decide whether an elderly person should work, drive or live? It should not be the government. The government can provide a chauffer for an elderly person they want to take off the road. Someone has to cover transportation to doctors and work. The government pays for chauffeurs, parties and vacations for Wall Street executives. Why not the elderly? I bet they have done more for society than those WS execs.
You have noticed elderly people struggling to survive in
