You can't now just send in (flood the zone) the NATO cavalry given Ukraine a hot chaotic (hot mess) war zone with Russians dug in DEEP in the east and south.
Russia provably sucks on the offense but highly proficient on a digging in and retreat then dig in etc style defense...traditionally called The Russian "MANEUVER DEFENSE"....an attrition strategy trading space for time...used during Napoleon's attack on Moscow, Stalin protecting Moscow from the Germans, and Georgy Zhukov at Kursk...now Putin in Ukraine...as but a few key illustrative examples.
Trying to root them out now is like trying to rid a home infested with carpenter ants, one ant at a time. The Ukrainian counter offensive is defacto an "ant by ant" removal effort...it will never rid Ukraine of "Russian ants".
...an altogether new eradication paradigm is in order...something with more "immediate dramatic effect" is necessary and needed.
Given Ukraine not a NATO member, just going in now would (from an optics/propaganda POV) make NATO "seem" an aggressor, and stoke an even more chaotic and destabilizing situation and global headlines war...and "maybe" World War 3.
...although now with Finland's 800 mile border "Russia proof", and Sweden finally getting the Erdogan entry nod, and the rest of the alliance more unified than its ever been against a common enemy Russia, a conventional war initiated by Russia against other eastern European NATO member companies is highly unlikely, yet we must always factor in that other guy is a psychopath, so it's still not only possible he would but too he escalates beyond conventional means.
"IF"....he's "given the opportunity" to bogusly "Play the Victim" card.
That card must be taken away.
