Officer Wooldridge continued, “The police could focus on the drug user and dealer. We could spend even less/no time arresting deadly drunk drivers and go after a baggie of pot. We could spend no/ less time catching the child predator who wants to have sex with your 13 year old son or daughter. This would allow us to find more houses where they are growing pot or cooking meth. Arresting the person who broke into your home is too petty compared to arresting the guy who sold Rush Limbaugh the pills. At the federal level we could spend less/no time on Al Qaeda and other terrorists and that would enable us to destroy every medical marijuana garden in California. Sound good? Tell your Congressman and Senator.
“We are a Thin Blue Line and some Americans believe we spend entirely too little time going after drug users and sellers. We are public servants. Where do you want us to go? Where should we focus? Who should we arrest? What crimes do you want solved or prevented? We get paid by the hour. The choice is yours.”
As you read this series, you see the logic and common sense of my brother, a veteran police officer. It’s time to end the fraudulent “War on Drugs” and begin to regulate, tax and allow those who will use drugs--a safe, hygienic and sane avenue for personal use. It would cut out drug-related crime, drug rings, killings and millions of ruined lives. We must invite personal responsibility!
